maybe ro is not WP most profit game anymore

Still profitable since their mobile version of RO is so sucessful they killed dragon nest mobile in the process

 

(and..you know what..all of the problems here in RO..is fixed at mobile..you can check it out..)

for me.. mobile contents are too old and admit very limited. the quest is not challenging to many dialouge feel like playing on playstation. the pvp is a clicker only based. the mvp are few. gameplay is not as fast as real ragnarok. gameplay manouver strategy is lame. overall.. it is just a past time game..
staff need to act fast now.. we really need the new contents.. new instance and of course the new jobs..
wonder if what other RO official state are now with the arrival of R.O.M.EL..do they have a decrease too of players?

Yep the rapid reaction gameplay of RO stil can not be compared to ragna m and basically many new and old 2d/3d mmorpg's that i have encountered

The good balance of 3d environment on a 2d sprite makes manoeuvring easier and faster not to mentio more free than a 2d only (grandchase, elsword) and 3d (WoW (well lore and the actual actions in wow are awesome btw), RO2, Cabal)

Thus it may seem good at the moment but the ancient players will most likely visit ro1 time and time and again and that is why we shouldnt disappoint them when they return to take a peek. OCP IS disappointing them bigtme not to mention many pservers have more enticing (albeit bootleg) updates

Before anyone of you jump to the OCP bashing bandwagon, its necessary to understand that OCP was a good thing to begin with, at least in 2017. Before it happened, some weaker classes are close to unplayable, now you can effectively enjoy any classes and builds. Of course how OCP turned out to be in 2018 is controversial and frankly, the OPness of some items and the lack of updates are disappointing. But lets not get ahead of ourselves, we ought to look at both the positive and the negative aspects of OCP, its bad to go from one extreme to another extreme.

To others, I'm curious as to what keeps you playing iRO, how many of you are still farming instances/MvPs endlessly? Is it just to find out how you could decimate MvPs faster using new OCPs? or equip your character to the max and compete in WoE/PvP that has cancer?

This statement summed up my thoughts on the game accurately.
 
-  The Quest and story line are interesting and I feel like I'm really playing an MMORPG. This is true until current endgame story quest, which is fight against final Bspoilert and ending credits roll, then its daily mission boards and monsters resistance quest thingies  and auto grind for the time being.

 

-  As I've mentioned before, the game is noob friendly especially on non-gamer GFs. this is true, you can craft most things on your own, you can enhance and refine your equipments safely without losing them, less rmt among players because trade requires cash shop items progressively to the zeny amounts of trades, same thing as purchasing someone else vended items. systems controlled price, with auction/paramarket like features

 

-  Most strong equipment are obtainable via in game content (not so much on cash shops). not quite true, its the same as iRO, current saint equipments (weapon, body armor, shield, garment, shoes, accessories), headwear and card cash vending machines are just the beginning

-  You are not required to grind while banging your head on a table just to get that level up. This is true, there's much alternative content than grinding to level your char (daily questing, employed your pets for exp capsule rewards, questing your pets, etc)

This is the same for ROM, i've reached endgame and just doing ET run with friends and guildies, hopping across game channels to farm some MvP and doing some laggy pvp sometimes, still waiting WoE content to be brought here.

we have to do some things to bring more players to our beloved IRO

 

Hopefully existing players will introduce RO to their friends.  A lot of could-be players out there don't even know RO exists.  I didn't know RO existed until another player introduced me to it.

Unplayable character? Those character are playable. They are not just that effective. The game is an MMO for a reason so people can party with each other. There are classes to do the job what you can't. This is not a single-player game. Justifying it with OCP is an overstatement.

 

Is SuNo, TKM, SL playable now (PvP, WoE, Instance)?

 

The number of population makes it really boring to play. No more active players. No new players.

Before OCP's introduction, there are many classes and builds that are unable to solo, unwanted in parties, and also sucked in PVP/WOE. In order for them to overcome this adversity, they need to do at least one of these three things:

 

1. Buy MVP cards/Godly gears to make their chars on par with OP classes.

2. Improve skills to be top 10-20 players on the server so they can turn trash into gold.

3. Get a lot of friends who are interested in taking them as leechers for parties.

 

Unfortunately, none of these is achievable for a newbie, and even for veterans these are no easy task. Most ppls cant afford MVP cards/+14-15 gears, most ppls cant be the top 10-20 on this server, and most ppls dont have friends who are generous enough to provide leeching service for them.

 

This is why I said 'close to unplayable', its playable if you can achieve the 3 things I showed above. But for most ppls, its unplayable, period. You may argue that there are still such 'unplayable' classes and builds even now, I completely agree, but at least OCP made it better and now there are far more classes/builds that have become fun and playable thanks to OCP.

 

Again I am not saying that OCP is all good, and honestly the current trend of OCP is worrisome, but this is not to undermine the benefits OCP brought to us in last year when it helped with class balance, giving players more options to try the classes and builds that were once considered weak and to be avoided.

Keep in mind other major titles released in the world today so having a dip in user numbers is not unexpected. Generally users will return over time as they finish the experiences in other games. iRO just has to keep on going and work to bring the updates that player want to Ragnarok Online.

Current Status Update regarding updates:
We received the test server builds for the Vampire Illusion Dungeon. Were waiting on the translated game content then we will update Sakray. We expect to get be able to get it on Sakray this friday.

You seem confident in stating that camp, but over the years I've played in iRO I can definitely tell that the number of players did not increase or return to its previous population.

 

Are we going to get a new Calendar of Events any time soon? What happens after the Mech/RK patch? is kRO even aware of what's happening here?
