The first classic server got blitzed the moment Revo-Classic came out.

 

Revo-classic lasted about as long as when the EU ban came to be then everyone left in support of the Europeans, me being one of them.

 

Transcendence has zero zero-content.

 

Besides, Ragnarok Origin is their focus right now, with the staff of iRO2 apparently taking helm of the localization. Are we, and they, really going to prioritize on something that, what, only brings 17% profits on the table? They know where the money goes, and we, most players, have actual lives outside the computer, and I'll be damned if I have to waste my hours away grinding in front of a screen like some lifeless basement-dwelling loser who actively ignores mortgage dues when I can do the same on my phone on the go while doing other productive things because most of us are actually busy and successful people who have a life, a career, and for some, families.

 

That said, I already pre-registered for it.

 

If you want to save the game, you're gonna have to buy shares in NASDAQ and demand to have a say.

I'm not asking for a server like restart or transcendence. People want a real classic RO server.

tRO classic soon before Q4. Go play that server when live. Better than called all your guildmate or your sub-id to spam in this forum.

 

Transcendence will always iRO classic. Don't like? Then go play other server. It owned by Gravity not some Private server.

Back to the question at hand, a classic server at 2021 is doable; but you have to prove it profitable and appealing. The game, as it is, is only delivering 17% of the revenue, and I don’t know how much of that is iRO’s when kRO and jRO are the big drawers on the PC front. So, I want to see from OP’s view or anyone else’s; why is a classic server in 2021 worth the time and capital developing? No, “because it’s fun and will appeal to old school players” is not a good reason nor marketably realistic.

I doubt it's even up to Warpportal. The Kro overlords have too much pride in renewal that it probably insults them when people want to play the classic version of the game (at least that what I imagine).

I don't think you need to prove to anyone that a advertised classic server would make money.

Yeah no,there was one not that long ago and it imploded due to lack of people playing,it would divide resources even more i think.Id rather them focus on renewal and transcendance

The only people that still play RO are hard core RMTers that can’t let go of the past. Most of us just play the game of forums now. WP should delete all RO servers and start a new classic and a new renewal one FBH.

There's about 10 years of pre-renewal content to progressively add to a new classic server (condensed into 2-3 years probably?).

Not jRO? What about jRO and kRO? I mean, isnt thRO closely following kRO updates? Thought people already knew awesome servers are usually P2W. iRO is the least P2W server personally lol ... and it should be in a museum already

Why do you think Classic failed? 

It was one of the best servers I have played on.

 

Do you think it's a failure due to it not being here today? 

The people that play on these servers know that they will one day go away (any maybe have our chars moved to Chaos (not that most will care as we don't want to play there)), I think that's part of the fun of it tbh.

 

If warp portal had a planned system of starting a new server - running it for x years and then starting again, to me it would be almost perfect.

Classic, Restart, and Transcendence all could've lasted much longer if they had bot protection and managed better. Even with these issues, all 3 of these servers each had more life in them than the Renewal Chaos server has felt in over 5 years. Yes you're right, if I was in charge there would be a fantastic Classic server already. 

 

Just because the Renewal server is still up doesn't mean it's alive. I imagine it's just a bunch of people who don't want to quit because they've spent too much money. It's sad that all of the official RO servers are now equivalent to garbage cash shop mobile games.
