fixing the Acid Bomb damage isn't as simple as scripting the item correctly. They can script it but it's not going to help if the script itself doesn't work/tries to call to a variable that doesn't exist in the current version. The server needs an exe update for it to apply the bonus correctly, and that's out of WP's hands.

Has anyone gotten a Costume Sweet Chocolate Hat from the Sweets Festival draw? I haven't seen a single one being vended since the event started, nor have I gotten one myself in 500+ draws. It's possible it's in there at a super low rate, but the whole Skelion's Head debacle from Halloween makes me wonder.
I didn't get one but my friend I was questing with did. It is an account bound costume for whatever reason, so that's why you haven't seen it vended.

Im still confused though lol. So the hat does work on MvP's labeled boss type but only boosts boss damage dealt by say a weapon with Abysmal Knight Card in it? So if you are using a weapon without a boost to Boss Damage you won't see any difference?

It means you gotta know the calculations to understand the affected damage, it might not be as easy as i do 100k acid bomb and now with this gear ill do 150k you gotta put in the proper math to reach the correct values. Also the part of the hat that affects acid bomb just has no effect on the damage so you disconsider it.
in short:
it is increasing dmg on boss type monsters its just a matter of how it works in the damage formula.

Just the old distiction of what components of a characters atk value are boosted by what modifiers.
atk% doesn't work on status atk and mastery atk(same as race, size, element, type, etc)
Said person tested the hat while completely naked, having nothing to be boosted by the gear. (Cannonball ammo atk doesn't receive any modifier either for cart cannon)
If you want to easily check whether or not some piece of gear works correctly in it's % modifiers, simple use some equipment with some eATK on it, like skin of ladon, etc.
Using a weapon works too, but then you want to have power maximize available and it ideally isn't above the safe refinement level, because in those cases you will have some damage variance that just makes testing more annoying

it's fine if ppl don't know, or want to bother to know how things are calculated, but you need to do it correctly to claim something is or isn't working correctly, or else you start some fire like this that gets a lot of ppl worried and confused over literally nothing at all.

Im too busy to test stuff really. I just use caveman logic lol. If the hat says at +13 it will increase my acid bomb damage when equipped by 50% and also increase damage to boss type by 50%, when I equip the hat I expect to see the damage increase by almost double the damage without the hat against a MvP. I pop multiple bloody branches and do the free MvP's to test it. When I wasn't seeing almost double the damage I came here to post about it. In fact I wasn't seeing anything close to double the damage. In this case the hat is not increasing the acid bomb damage portion. I know its bad logic. I never claimed I knew what was actually wrong with the hat. I just felt like the hat wasn't working as stated.
If they can't fix the Acid Bomb damage portion they shouldn't sell the hat saying that it will do that. I wouldn't have spent real money and zeny during a none upgrade event to make it +13.

Asked the team about this and was told that there are some combo effects with the enchants that they want to bring in, but at the moment there's nothing set in stone.

When new content or Phamton of Corridor? Everything can be killed by 1-2 hit Meteor Assault. Server is dead. More and more quiting ppl and MVPs price keep going down recently,

CMMayari, can I also please have you to follow up on Focus Arrow Strike (aka Sharp Shooting) ok it’s output is not scaled with player’s base level, reason being WP just release a gear (garment - Yoichi’s Muffler) to work with FAS but the skill itself is just half cooked.
I'll poke at the team about this again, I know it's been a long ongoing issue.
How about updating boxter for the people who actually spend cash to support the game? Some have opened 300+ boxes and have not received the rare items and should have every opportunity available to recycle and open more boxes. Any further delay on this matter is just unreasonable and greed driven. Boxter has always been a part of OCP and should be updated ASAP.
I believe this was one of those big projects that needed a lot of time to work on, but since the team has more time before the next major update comes, hopefully this is another project that they can hammer away on the next few months. Thanks!

Jejecap bonuses to boss damage and Crazy Vines damage are working, only the acid bomb one isnt(it is in the exact same state the item was when it first hit iRO Sakray like 4~5 years ago).

"Not all MVPs are bosses. Not all bosses are MVPs. Boss is a distinct flag. MVPs are merely determined by giving them a MVP loot table entry. Usually, they can be both, because most are."

What is Dark Ring using for the STR/ATK bonuses instead of Weapon Blocking?
Edit: It's using Weapon Crush not Weapon Blocking for the +1 STR/AGI/DEX and ATK+40.
Fun fact, if Weapon Crush is lvl 0 and it's equipped, and you add the job point, it doesn't recompute your bonuses. However when you unequip it, it does its check and applies -6 STR to you. If you requip it, it gives +6 STR. You can then get another level of Weapon Crush, it does not compute, then remove it, and it applies -7 STR to you. You can ratchet your characters strength down by 5
Edit 2: I wish I had thought to see the affect on ATK. Underflow for infinite damage?

this would be good for the game I think, because this bring up the value of in-game items, ppl who don’t want to spend money can have more choices to farm, win win.
