Unjust Bans: Demand Transparency and Accountability

I got banned early this month, I started a ticket and providing all requested details including, in-game screenshots/crops and even my WPE spending & transaction histories. I was very cooperative through out the process and that's what I got.

 

 

Here's a list of questions that GM requested:

- Do you use VPN? I said no

few days later

- Can you provide recent deal/trade with any details? --> I provided a list of deals/trades that I could remember, some with screenshots some without.

few days later

- Can you provide details regarding WPE spending? --> I provided spending & transaction histories of my WP accounts.

few days later

- Can you provide details regarding a particular trades without proof of screenshot that I mentioned early? --> I gave all details I could remember and everything I have.

few days later

- You are banned permanently.

 

 

Despite providing all the requested screenshots and details, the lack of clarity from the GMs and the so-called “specialist team” has been incredibly disappointing. It is disheartening to see that, despite everything in the game being meticulously logged, there has been no effort to utilize this data to resolve these issues fairly. We, as players who have invested both time and money into this game, deserve a clear and detailed explanation of what is happening. This situation has led to a growing sense of unfair treatment within the community, and we urgently need a dialogue to address and rectify these unjust bans.

 

Some might just frivolously talk that people get banned because and they violate the rules. Well, on the ground, it's just not your turn yet. After seeing so many other peoples from other threads encounter same or similar situations and I truly believe that T.o.S is being abused to cover up the fact of incompetence.

Apparently there is a case where an unbanned person got unbanned. So, good luck. 

 

Can we disable RODEX already? Otherwise cases like this will keep popping us. Unnecessary headaches to GMs and the specialist team. While at it, GMs should patrol farming maps too. Maps that drop Ether dust should have any teleport skills disabled. Apparently farming bots auto wings immediately once an active character is in sight lol

We regret to inform you that since your friend's account has been permanently banned, we are unable to retrieve your item. Additionally, we have reviewed your request for item restoration and, unfortunately, we must decline as no technical issue has been found with your account or items. We hope this explanation clarifies your inquiry. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we greatly appreciate your understanding in this matter.
 
 
 
So what happened is I was using the OP's account to WoE and mostly I was using my own gears. But then the OP got banned and I was asking them to return my own gears. I made it clear in my first message that there's NO TECHNICAL ISSUE with my account or items and that it's just that I transferred them to the OP's account so that I can use that for WoE.
 
In between I made sure to send a reply every day to prevent the ticket from closing since GM Jakk seems to be very busy--today, which is 1 week later, he finally wrote me a reply:
 
Unfortunately, as mentioned in our previous response, we are unable to proceed with your restoration request. Regardless of the reason, we strictly prohibit the abuse of item restorations, particularly in cases like this where the item was allegedly lent to a friend’s account that has since been banned. For more information on our policies regarding scamming and item recovery, please refer to our FAQ here: https://support.warpportal.com/kb/a607/scamming-and-you.aspx. We kindly ask for your understanding that further inquiries will receive the same response, as our stance on this matter remains unchanged. We hope this message provides clarity, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
 
Like bro, I know you guys can check login IPs since you asked the OP about VPN thingy in the first set of questions, supposedly you guys saw different login IPs. Why don't you check the login IPs during those dates and see if the login IPs of one of her accounts and my own accounts are the same? Plus, it is a lot of gears that are involved--only the upper/mid/lower costumes, 1 accessory and the weapon aren't mine. Why are you assuming that I'm lying to "abuse" item restorations? Like, the evidence is with you and you can just check it yourself, but instead you are just being too lazy and say w/e. 
 
Sure you don't care, but AT LEAST DO YOUR JOB.
 
Stop being lazy and abusing T.o.S to "cover up the fact of incompetence". 
 
 
 
Oh and just now GM Jakk sent another reply:

We understand your desire to request another restoration, but due to previous requests and actions, we must respectfully decline further requests for restoration. Please be aware that repeated attempts to misuse the restoration system have resulted in your account being flagged. We take these matters seriously to ensure fairness for all players. We hope this response provides clarity, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We greatly appreciate your understanding in this matter.
 
They started threatening players by flagging their accounts man lol But sure do that you GMs have that kind of entitlement according to Terms of Service, tho you can't ban me merely for the fact that I've been repeatedly asking for item restorations :)

I do agree with greater transparency and accountability, but in this case I think the overarching WP account policy (https://www.warpport...ountpolicy.html) of "No Sharing of Account Information" and "Any problems that result from the sharing of an account ... is the sole responsibility of the account owner" are the issues. Though it's odd that the GM responding didn't refer you to these rules:

 

3. User Account Maintenance

Users must maintain their own accounts. No support will be provided for problems that occur due to negligence of the account by the owner. Any attempts to trade items, characters or accounts for real currency will result in a restriction of the accounts without warning. Also, any problems that result from the sharing of an account or other such actions are the sole responsibility of the account owner.

 

4. Game Policies

Inappropriate Action

The following actions are not allowed in-game or on the WarpPortal forums:

- Sharing your account information, or the account information of other users, with other people.

They probably don't know the actual rules because they're most likely required to reply based on a script

What about checking Campitor's post here. They are basically contradicting what they themselves said before.

 

Also I was using only one of her accounts and she has 3 RO game accounts associated with the same email address, but all of her 3 accounts are banned. If it's about account sharing and gear transfer, I don't see why my own accounts aren't banned.

 

That being said GMs can probably ban a lot of people for that reason every week during certain hours (3 time windows yes) if they really want the server to die faster

If GMs were to truly ban people for breaking rules, they would have to be ready to wipe 99% players. People getting ban is also RNG. You never know what you will get hit.

It's good to see GMs start enforcing rules but it's just a bit too late as most players esp old players and vets are involved in illegal activities in one way or another. Still, we are getting new players.

Banned players can redeem themselves and dispute the bans, to get unbanned when found innocent. Good luck providing evidence. GM team is very professional.
