if your goal was to purely make zeny in whatever legal means neccessary, then mvping is not the right way to do it or rather there is no need to waste your time mvping. not even going to get into wasting real $ to sell for wpe
Definately not nowadays.

I didn't speak for you, I linked to your posts and you actually said "I haven't noticed a difference" when confronted both in that thread, and in chat.
/snip
you know what I won't post what you said after you rudely and abusively brandished the mod hammer, but plenty of people were there to see it, I don't need to spread it fruther to show that you're ignorant to the affects of the kafra shop.

What do safe certs got to do with the game introducing kafra shop gear which is better than in game equivalents, making it pointless to hunt? And what does this got to do with the fact that above +7, gear does not break and its a matter of how many kafra shop points you pump into your gear to upgrade it? Safe certs are nothing but the tip of the iceberg and that's the ONLY problem you see with the current system? You are a freaking joke.
What do Kafra Shop Gears have to do with MVP gears? There are headgears and recently a shield sold in the Kafra Shop.
...That affects how many MVP drops, exactly? Valk Shields (which aren't technically an MVP, but a mini-boss) are still useful in many situations for that 20% resistance and Sacred Missions are useful as they don't break. I can't think of any other shields. As for headgears, again, the Kafra ones aren't better versions of every single headgear. I still sell Ulle's Caps and Magestic Goats, just not as many as often. People collect headgears for their looks as well, so there will always be a market for those no matter how many better ones are introduced.
What does it have to do with... What? It doesn't have anything to do with it, hence why it wasn't brought up. I'm not sure why you brought it up either.

First of all, you claim that the number of ingame gears affected by the kafra shop gears is limited, but the number of good gears in game are also limited.
If we get the kRO version of the immune shield, your arguement is bunk. We are likely to get it if people don't stand up to it.
I would imagine the immune shield even as it stands right now is extremely useful for living fist in WoE and EQ in PVM. To me, that makes it better than a valk shield in 80% of cases.
Sacred mission, applies only to crusader class, most the people on the game don't care about it, won't care about it and it will continue to appeal to a limited market.
On top of this, need I mention the up and coming backpack?
The cat ear beret, allows both greater defence than the ingame alternative (beret) and the offence power of the GMG - we can argue it's balanced by not working on magic, but who are we kidding? Magic SUCKS.
Futhermore, for an amount of time the Majestic Goat was better than the ingame version, with one small difference, the ingame one was required for GMG. However, that was a huge hit to the sale of MGs. As a result of this a thinger was put in where you could change one version of the MG to the other. I would know about this as a group of players raised this as an issue when they met the GMs in person.
With certs also in game, the trend is favouring players relying more on kafrashop than the ingame alternatives, and with the more support of this, it will snowball, as it has done over the past year.
I would like to pay for a game that has competition, people doing things in game, etc, things that are worth striving for... I know I'm not alone when I stand back and look at how these things are slowly being siphoned away by the kafra shop.

kRO will find always the way to mess up even more with the game.
I wish we had the main developers, they were so awesome..

As a new player, I can tell you that the focus is all on Eden Group, Turn ins, and Kafra Shop.
Every month there's something shiny and new in Kafra Shop. It seems as though whoever is creating the effects of these items and putting them into the servers doesn't understand how detrimental they are to the actual game. Somebody isn't thinking ahead, or at least no further thoughts than their wallet.
Buying Kafra Shop items seems pointless anyways. Not only is everything chance based and/or requires even MORE kafra items to upgrade for some special effect, but you also never know when the item you spent 18$ on this week will come out two weeks later and completely devalue it. This Christmas Box is a joke. 18$ for Mini Glasses [1]? 18$ for Glasses [1]? 18$ for some item that hardly anyone asked for besides the RWH+Skullcap, and your odds of getting that are probably slimmer than the rest. Idk I feel like 1800 points for one box is redonk. That's what? 5 or 6 boxes for 100$? Think about how much these items sell for. Is the price of this item worth 18$?
And it ain't even Christmas yet. I wonder what 2000 point box they'll be bringing out then. <__<

they should buff the NON KAFRA SHOP ITEMS, by upgrading then, like the zealotus mask, it could give 5% more damage and 5% resistance against demi humans when its +7
I was saying something similar yesterday. I don't think it will happen though because if they buff in-game items to be on par with kafra items, then the kafra items will most likely gain some outrageous effects later on. It's to my understanding that kafra gears are "supposed" to be better than in-game gears because you're paying for them. Which is just wrong.
Well, then it's justified by making them tradeable and saying "anyone can buy them with zeny". That doesn't solve the issue that in-game items are
