As RO has so many regional servers set up to cater various languages of those regions, iRO (like these forums) is basically English Language RO, for those countries that speak English (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland etc), or any player regardless of what country they are from, that wants to play on an English language server. It's always been this way since iRO was split (right back in the early days) when euRO was created and the European based players on iRO were transferred to euRO (unless they specifically opted out of doing so).

want.
euRO had these no problem. whats the deal?
Then again, this has been brought up like dozens of times and nothing happened.
But also iRO has been blocking IP from some european countries for account creation for some while, because of the -_-ty thing called fRO that's supposed to be a server.

euRO was created to support a variety of European languages from the regional areas that it serviced hence why it had the extra text characters. iRO on the other hand is an English language server - and like the forums, where ever possible they want people speaking English in-game also.

You do realize that its only a number (from 4 to 2) in the clieninfo.xml within the data.grf to be able to write whatever language you like ingame? Maybe a little tweek with the blocktxt file as well. To sad its illegal to do it on your own since its as easy as eating a muffin.
Sadly iRO does not support non-english-languages, I know a lot of people (specially from french, italy/ spain and germany) that would love to join iRO but do not like the fact that they cant write in their mother language.

Yes and the clientinfo file inside the grf is specifically set that way to prevent people from speaking other languages on Gravity's English Language server.

I seem to remember one of the CMs mentioning that allowing international characters would cause problems with character names. (Things like people being unable to /invite somebody because they can't type the symbols in the name.)
Its possible and not even difficult to block certain non-english charackters for the char creation

Yeah. Real easy.
Off-Topic: I had a friend with a character named "A" without the quotation marks.
He taught me how. /GG
I won't use what I learnt though.

2- English isn't the international language. There's no such thing.
3- Two people that share the same mother language would want to speak in that language, not English.
Wouldn't you like to speak Polish in-game properly with your Polish friends? I sepak Spanish with my guild, it would be unnatural for me to speak English with guildmates or Spanish speaking friends, even with Brazilians.I don't see a problem with only English language. I quited euRO because couldn't get any answer from French based people, as I don't know French. Also it would be really hard for iRO to implement all foreign languages. Even with help of Wiki, it would take many of days to do something like this. So English based server is in my opinion the best choice.
Many people. Many people from Spain, Chile, Argentina, Italy, France, etc, can't read English.who can't read english nowadays
