Goal of my changes are mostly to increase the density of the map while have a focus on one monster as the dominant. These changes should help with more time to kill mobs instead of running around. I feel like the density of the current maps are too low that I spend the majority of my time just looking for something worth while to kill so I hope something of this density update will happen.

Will you be re-adjusting the maps that were damaged by Tuesday maint especially in GH Chivalry 1? It is impossible to lvel on that map any more and chiv 2 is a clusterf*** jokers steal items and turn holy....

some of the maps you are listing changes on show creatures that are not on those maps right now like moc16 (assassin guild map) does not have frills and your showing it having 5 right now and adding more today. Im not sure how much user input you take on maps but frills are just annoying as they take 25% damage from fire which is basically what everything else on the map takes damage from and since they weren't there in the first place your adding tons of them one map west i don't feel they need to be there being an annoyance unless that's why you are putting them there.

Fair enough, there were some being added, the theme of the map is supposed to be hidden danger (the frilldora fit in with that)

I've just read through the map changes update on the 1st post and they are looking really good.

Timed Anubis spawn are perfect for the current stage of the game.

I think any map with Pickys and Super Pickys should always have Pecopeco eggs since they pop from there.

Not sure if I'm too late, but the Sphinx 5 changes don't seem to be in line with all the other changes. It seems like the general theme is to increase both the popular monster and the annoying monster of each map in order to maintain the map's balance, making it mobbier and more exciting.

But on Sphinx 5 you seem to be increasing the annoying monsters (sidewinders), adding another annoying monster that we'll have to fwing away from because it isn't worth dealing with as a soloer (anubis), but leaving the popular monster at the same number (pasanas). Aren't pasanas the main attraction of the map?

Why not give the same consideration to sphinx 5?

BTW: Is it possible to increase or decrease the exp/jxp given by monsters? I think Orc Zombies/Orc Skeletons don't give enough for their trouble while Wolves give too much. Can easily go to jlvl 40 as a Vit Merchant/Knight/whatever VIT class on Wolves.

I think the exp/jxp of orc zombie/orc skeletons and wolves are fine like that. Undead tends to give less exp ratio then other type of monsters. Not everything should be the same. The orc dungeon map is quite small and lots of zombie packs are together while the wolf map is large.

We should wait for more map adjustment to actually see what is going to happen before any exp ratio should be change.

I would suggest keeping Wraiths to 5->10 instead of 15 on the churchyard, those are quite annoying for low levels to deal with.

Or add them back to CT4!


i'm debating Payon for Tuesday or trying to do the mjolnir and CT maps.

I had planned on Owls populating the upper floors of the clock tower, so that should be the feather hunting area.

You were implying that every class can solo effectively. I am an example of a class that can't. That is all.

4m/hour solo is something that a lot of classes would BEG for. Anything that discourages party play should not exist in a mmorpg. Anubis are as good as I think they are, it was not just priests that jumped on the bandwagon. Every support class would bring a 99 fencer merc down to there because the main support class was down there as well.

I am not basing this on speculation, party play drastically diminished with Anubis around. That is a fact.


Then get rid of mercs. They pose the real problem. =) I want Anubis to be added. You know this is the only mmorpg I have played where Priests can't solo as equally as the other classes? I'm not saying we have it bad, we don't, but if the best we can do is Prison or some -_-, that is pretty lame compared to other classes. I love Anubis. I agree with the people who say a few should be added, but not too many, and on a 3 minute respawn. There is no logical reason to completely bar them from the game, as it would also suggest that MANY other op mobs in future patches also to never be added.

I also call ....bs on your "you shouldn't be able to solo on an mmorpg". Yes and no. You should be able to party when you want, and be able to solo when you want, both effectively. I know many many many many many many many many many (get the idea?) people who want to play MMORPGs but they don't or can't because some rely too heavily on partying and sometimes you just don't have time to find a party and then have it suck ass. A good mmorpg has a 50/50 balance of it. =)

I agree with the rest though.

Please reconsider the spawn changes to Anthell. Some people want to hunt cards, not just kill monsters. The changes really aren't that constructive to doing that. You've increased the number of looters, and added more bats to slow things down with that. A preferable idea, would have been just to increase the Vitata slightly, and leave the bats, and other ants alone.

they're on a 15 minute timer so you can't even kill 20 in an hour. I don't really see the problem tbh :P

I would be very interested to know what MMORPGs you have played. Leave World of Warcraft out of the equation. Support classes are generally delegated to party play, and soloing is less efficient and in some cases not even possible. In RO priests are one of the BEST solo classes, I don't know what could make you think otherwise. I agree with Heim's changes here and having them on a 15 minute respawn.

I never said that you should not be able to solo on MMORPG. I did say that the spawns on a map should not discourage party play, IMO a regular spawn of anubis discouraged party play and while the priests and HPs would be up in arms for me saying it, every class that relies on a priest should agree. :P

I play a Priest and I agree that party play should be encouraged more than solo play. Having Anubis on instant pop timers really would make me prefer to play solo as a TU Priest instead of how I usually prefer to play.
