the current CC the modifier endowed twice

 

do test for me, use neutral Bash to monster with 200% weakness to Holy, record the damage

then do Holy Bash , record it also

 

now , use neutral CC to that, record the damage

then Holy CC, also record

upload your samples here

 

 

Always test with full gear. dont forget

 

anyone want to be  a volunteer to test ?

so really the only nerf is that you cant endow iron cannon balls (neutral) any more.

Can you elaborate on no.3
 
I tried Neutral Crimson with Holy Cannonballs, Holy Crimson with Iron Cannoballs and Holy Crimson with Holy Cannonballs.
 
Neutral/Holy with Holy Cannonballs does the exact same damage.
Holy Crimson with neutral Cannonballs does less damage than using Holy cannonballs.
 
Tested with OGH undead.

 
compare  :
Holy Crimson with neutral Cannonballs does less damage than using Holy cannonballs.

also i want to see the damage for these tests :

There you go, didn't noticed anything different from aspersio + holy balls, and neutral + aspersio still sucks.

but where is the Bash?? 

 

okay, incomplete test but you see, 

 

i focused one monster, i assume Dark Priest in Guild Dungeon has 200% weakness to Holy

see your damage

your damage with Neutral weapon Iron CannonBall = 35k <-- 16.2 damage with converters later ( forced to Neutral )

your damage with Aspersio ( Holy weapon ) Iron CannonBall = 42kish <----16.2  your nerfed damage similar with this later.

 

your damage with Neutral weapon Holy CannonBall = 95k <-- this is the part where the eatk and watk endowed twice

 

the only reason why i asked you to test Bash

cause Bash is normal skill, if you hit 30k, hitting a monster with 200% elemental weakness is becoming 60k

you will see the different between CC and Bash

Current CC mechanism.
1. Cannon ball's element has been endowed twice, first on WeaponAtk+EquipAtk, second on TotalAtk. So WeaponAtk+EquipAtk has been endowed twice.
2. Holy, shadow and soul cannon ball's element override converters and innate weapon element except pyroclastic buff.
3. However. Neutral ball, first endowment on WeaponAtk+EquipAtk can be overridden by converters and innate weapon element. But TotalAtk will be forced to neutral as ball's element, become pseudo elemental.

So. According to your testing. Because holy ball endows dmg twice. While neutral ball only once through innate weapon element.

Using Aspersio with Iron Cannonballs only makes it pseudo Holy, hence dealing less damage that actually using Holy cannonballs.

 

Holy weapon/Holy cannonballs - 40k dmg

Holy weapon/Iron Cannoballs -  28k dmg

Neutral weapon/Holy cannonballs - 40k dmg

 

If I need to retest with an actual Holy Crimson I probably need to wait for a friend to come only since I no longer have a Holy Crimson.

 

PS: I thought the double endow only works with Mado Mechanic and not Gene. If you endow holy/fire and holy cannonball you definitely deal 4x dmg as compared 2x when you use endow holy/iron balls or neutral weapon/holy cannonballs only.

and then it depends on how high your eatk and watk are,

because they are endowed twice this happens

the fix will nerf your damage to Shadow,  Holy and Ghost monsters.

I think a better way to put is that the skill uses the multiplier twice when calculating elemental damage with elemental cannon balls, but aspersio/holy crimson have nothing to do with it.

I can confirm Mado's Arm cannon when using :

 

1. Iron ball and neutral weapon would be 20k

2. Iron ball and holy weapon would be 40k

3. Holy ball and holy weapon would be 80k.

 

It definitely affects Arm Cannon, but I'm really not sure about Cart Cannon.

Aspersio works on mech only, it will get fixed eventually

Zayaan was correcting my post regarding that part,

so the better way to explain Geneticist's CC weird modifier is

 

eatk and watk endowed twice.

and kill wraith. i expect you to do these :

Current Arm Cannon mechanism works differently from CC's.

1. Ball's element endows once, on TotalAtk
2. WeaponAtk+EquipAtk can be endowed through either converters or innate weapon element.

So likes CC, WeaponAtk+EquipAtk can be endowed twice too.

As you can see the 4x holy works with Mado Arm cannon. 40k

Where else holy endow + neutral or neutral + holy cannonballs only deals 20k damage

160k is still so high. They need to nerf CC!  :p_devil:

its weird to me that its CC getting nerfed instead of acid bomb. Sure both skills are OP and strong, but acid bomb has never left my mind as an undeservedly OP skill for second class, even way more powerful than so many third classes' main skills.
 
Cart cannon isn't so OP for a third class skill in comparison- its hella good yes, but nothing like acid bomb. No idea what goes into the devs' minds.
