Actually when the official individual rose servers were running internationally, an IP ban was in effect for those countries with a rose publisher.
IIRC players from Jrose Krose Trose Prose could not cross over to Rose NA and likewise. RoseNA did not restrict access from countries without a publisher, which is why there were a ton of arab players from the UAE.
This was when the licenses were still enforced.

Anyway calder, leonis asked why servers should be merged. I believe Irose splitting into different servers and failing stands as a good history lesson. Do yourself a favor and take a laxative, bro.

Which has nada to do with the discussion at hand. Short of one of the companies buying the others that isn't even a possibility. I am well aware of the history of Rose, that doesn't change anything.

I made a really nice big post, about how to merge the servers, and the exact steps needed. Unfortunately, certain moderators feel it is not necessary to read through big posts for approval, and only approve the ones they can glance at and slightly* understand. So, until they approve my post, you'll all go on imagining that a server merge is a big complicated unsightly process, when in fact it is not.

There is no need to be rude. I have only just logged in and seen the post awaiting approval.

Okay, it looks like I need to put a stop to this thread because it is getting out of hand with how it is affecting the community on both servers.

There is no current or future plans to merge the servers. Regardless to any reason why we would or would not do it, there is no plan to.
If, for whatever reason, there ever were to be a consideration to actually do a server merge, it would be announced well in advance to the community regarding the timeline, why and what actions we would be taking against any considerations there would be to issues that would result from such an event.

So, once again, there is no server merge being planned or considered. Any further topics of this nature will be deleted.
