They do less damage and have less range than arrows. Do they really NEED to be so expensive?

Edit- Damage wise, a cannonball should win over an arrow every time :p_err:

I vote someone rewrites the formula to make it a more appropriate representation of "cannon" damage. Doesn't need to be crazy like arrow storm, but for that price, it definitely should either do more, or the price should be severely lowered.


I don't want to know what Rapid Throwing would have to deal according to this logic...actually 333m damage are required to be "on par".

Deal with it. There are several skills being more expensive then the cheapest one with a catalyst/ammo, Arrow Storm is hell of a skill to compare with. Crazy Damage, AoE etc...for oneshot-lvling clearly the best skill to hand, but on the other hand DPS wise not thaaaaat crazy.

Arrow storm can miss. Cart cannon and Arm cannon cannot. I think they helped arm cannon by removing the ground target in the balance patch but the amount of delay that it has compared to cart cannon is ridiculous for only being 3x3 at max level

cart cannon can't hit ghosts. I've never used arm cannon, I assume its the same

It's based on either the current element of the weapon that's been endowed or the element of the cannonballs themselves. Usually the weapon's endow overrides the cannonball's element if i recall correctly.

You can hit giant whisper with cart cannon, but i assumed it is ghost property because it looks like a whisper.

But whatever you do you will miss cart cannon on any ghost 3 and ghost 4 element mobs, even with soul cannon balls equipped.

I can only do more or less 45k damage with cart cannon, and that is with a properly endowed mjolnir and megs...

In PvP Rangers will have an upper edge in ep 14.3 thanks No Limit skill that will bring +250% Ranged damage on top of other Range damage boosters for whole one minute and 5 minute reuse delay,

On a separate note since Lucentos mentioned it, I would be shocked if they left arrow storm, no limit, or the white wing set unchanged. We'll be seeing lex'd 500k arrow storms if they don't change anything.

Oh the initial topic? It was about the cost first, and then about the damage second.

Try leveling a Sura like you level a Ranger.


I don't get your point. I level my sura with SB/Tiger if I solo, and ms/snap in TI's. Whatever your point was there, it went completely over my head.

If you're using Tiger Cannon you're probably spending far more on SP supplies than you ever would on Cannonballs.
Rideword+Nid+Incubus is far from perfect SP-wise when your skill takes like 15% of your SP.

AS is 30z/cast. Severe Rainstorm (should Never have been nerfed) is 60z/cast.

No limit has huge delay, someone test it and you can only use once for 1 minute duration for every 5 minutes lol...

yeah you count out like: potions for merchants leveling, storage cost, quiver cost... do cannon balls need those thing? I don't think we just arguing price... People should also think that AS damage is not coming out instant, making quivers is not something instant even when people bot auto-buy with it...

I'm not arguing which one cheap or expensive really, but my real problem is how someone can buy godly and mvp cards while thinking twice to buy those needs...

Guys, this is a game with a quest in which a girl gets trapped in a volcano full of flaming chickens, gets (GASP) chained to a wall, and you have to find a camel whose fecal matter will allow you to copy the lock's key and save her so you can visit an island full of demon priests summoning a half-fly evil lord to destroy the world.

Sense does not have a place in this game. :p_hi:

I honestly think for Arm Cannon we should be shooting at least 2 cannons.... if you think about it the canons i'm assuming are on the arms.. i have 2 arms, should be 2 cannons. If not 10, one for each finger /gg
I can do decent amount of damage with my mech, but honestly we all know unless we get super expensive gears we'd never match up to a ranger.
I think the last time i could match one shotting a monster in a TI was back with abyss knight.
I don't care about the price of the cannon, but would be nice if we could shoot multiples instead of just one.
