on the side note, both kRO and jRO wanted 300 dpi. not 72 dpi.

Correct me if i'm wrong, But isn't DPI redundant since the requested size was in pixels?
10 pixels is going to be 10 pixels regardless of the size of the individual pixels.

Isn't this common knowledge?
