If you had read my post, I made it clear that I do not know if my PC would even be able to handle two RO clients open. No, I am not one of those role-playing extremeists. If I wanna roleplay, I play RPGs.

And excuse me for trying to be polite. -_-

On different forums, not MMO forums particularly, it was considered polite to give at least a little heads up if you were gonna be gone for more than a week or two.

C-A

But you also made it clear that you do not even want to find out if your PC can handle that. Unless you're using something earlier than a Pentium 4, I am sure your PC can handle that.

But anyway, your call. Nothing wrong with being polite. It's just that people are irritated that they are giving advice and you keep on arguing against them.

I should elaborate. I don't want to find it out by trying it and then realizing my PC is so slow with two RO clients open, that I have to shut the PC down forcefully, because it got so slow that it won't react fast enough to closing one or both of them.

And most of the advice I see just doesn't seem to work for me... I only have one character in a guild and majority of the time, I'm the only one who is online. That may be due to time difference. Dual clienting I will not do for the above reason. No friends online, I don't care. The only thing I can maybe see happening is giving some random 1st class character the excessive Zeny - somebody did that with my Acolyte. They were about to trans and gave her the unneeded Zeny and didn't want it returned. (It was about 700k) I'm all for doing that, although I feel like gaining 5 Million Zeny and handing the 3.25 mill or whatever to a random person may seem a bit... excessive.
And a bank system would be a nice addition to the RO game in general.

Pause your porn downloads before, huehue. :> jk, what's wrong with pressing the restart button if your PC hangs? ._. And for god's sake, if you're that scared, give your zenny to me before you rebirth, I'll return you double. :v You can quote me on that.

Well man, you're not even sure if my advice won't work for you. Just try opening two clients and see the magic happen. It's just a short amount of time in your life anyway. C'mon, people don't succeed if they don't even try, even just once.

Nobody cares if you're quitting, honestly. These threads only ever cause unneeded drama, and make me assume you're an attention seeker. Also why play an mmo if you don't want to make friends?

Bye bye!

I have a -_-ty laptop that lags horribly when I dual client but I still do it to transfer the zeny when I rebirthed. It's not like your gonna do it all the time. If your doing it all the time anyways, that means you have multiple accounts anyways.

Just find a quiet and easy to access place to plop your first character down, open another client and go there. If your lagging horribly, close the first client so you can go to the meeting place easier.

This thread gave me a good laugh. Someone who is telling everyone they are quitting and yet goes on to say that they had no friends. This is a simple case of someone needing attention. Its not much different from a child who is misbehaving, be it negative or positive this person just needs some kind of response. So this is me doing my part playing into your indulgence.

So you can deal with not being able to 99 a wiz in a pre-renewal pserver but quit iRO because you cannot 99 a wiz, even with the turn ins, eden quests, free gears, and all the ez mode renewal leveling? That makes a lot of sense. Also, no wonder you don't enjoy the game given you don't have any friends.

I think I'm close to taking another one of my various-month-long breaks from RO. I'm just so bored with this game, especially with how slow the Job EXP goes for my High Wiz, even with the Board-Monsters. Also have no patience for making money for my Priest, who is almost ready to rebirth.

C-A

from what i can see, you find this game boring because grinding your way up is far too time-consuming and difficult. if that's the case, you were right to ignore the advice given to you - it wouldn't help you anyway, and would probably only result in you wasting more time in that cycle of breaks. so i'm not telling you to just grit your teeth and carry on, but nor am i saying to quit outright and never come back.

what i am saying, is that maybe you should look past the numbers on the screen. i understand that the goal to max out your level is obviously the entire point of the game, and that it is what every player strives to achieve, but becoming too focused on that one goal turns the game into a chore.

quoting the words of a certain pop star, it ain't about how fast you get there, it ain't about what's on the other side, it's the climb. by this, i mean that the value of your achievements and goals is determined only by your journey there. if you didn't enjoy the game until that point, you're not going to enjoy it anymore as a 150/50 warlock or whatever.

but i also don't mean that you have to love grinding to play this game. you should look around, there's tons of stuff happening around ro that isn't endless leveling. join a good guild that will take care of you, make some quality friends. check out some of the events held all the time. it might seem a bit awkward at first, but once you socialize and get to know people you'll have a much better time. most importantly, take it slow. don't feel pressured to log off each day with progress, mucking around doing nothing is fine too. after all, it's a game, isn't it?

as for the others, i find it funny how they all say "nobody cares" but looking at how many replies and views this topic has had it's pretty lively for something no one cares about.

but anyway, whether you quit or decide to keep playing, just remember that ro doesn't have to be a one sided game, and whatever your decision i wish you all the best for the future. let's not forget it's almost christmas! :no1:

2 years was pretty normal to 99/70 way way back in the day. If you ever hit 99/70. The game was playable at a competitive level at 90+ trans regardless though you didn't have to be max level like you pretty much have to now to avoid the stupid exponential curve of status effects. Now you can comfortably 99 in a day, a week from absolute scratch(fresh acct, no gear) on pretty much any class if you have some serious guidance and determination(and time obviously). 150 idk I havn't ever spent more than 3-4 days from 100-150 but I hated pvm and would always just power through it so I could do what I found fun which was pvp

If my 2.2GHz dual core, 3.5G of RAM 4 year old machine can handle *4* clients open at a time I'm sure you can do 2.  Each Ragexe only chews up 210,000 Kilobytes of memory.  The Firefox I have open writing this on takes up over double that.

What level is your HWiz?  Your Priest?  I'd play with you.  I find playing with someone helps make things less boring with a little chat thrown in here and there.  Even makes dying sting a little less when you can both make light of the situation.  HWiz too squishy?  I can tank stuff for you.

Need someone to hold your zeny? I can do it.  Need a little zeny  (just a little, I don't have millions lying around)?  I can do that, too (but I do like getting paid back).

I take breaks too.  Sometimes it helps.  I don't go advertizing it though.  No one misses me, lol.

No my High Wiz IS Level 99, it's the Joblevels that are annoying me.

And I don't care if I have friends in the non-gaming world, what makes you think I'd care in the gaming world? -_-

Seriously, any person I may meet in a TI party or so is just a guinea pig I use to help me ascend the steps to higher levels. Come on, these are people I will most likely never meet in real life, anyway, why would I care.
(And if anyone thinks I treat people different in real life, think again: the entire time I was in school, training to be a cosmetician, I never made friends with any of the women in my class. They were just tools to work on.)

but nor am i saying to quit outright and never come back.

I'm not quitting and never coming back. I said a Break. I might come back after a few months, I might not. Depends on my mood. Then again, considering how some of the community on this forum is, I'm not sure I want to come back. People bragging about getting to level 150 within 2 hours of creating a character, the inflation of the market is INSANE and majority of what the people on the forum are talking about is "There are more bots! Bots! Boooooooooooots!"

People sure are different. Your views amaze me. But anyway, I'll leave you to your opinions about considering the people you meet as tools. That's your own perspective and personality.

But anyway, I just hope you realize that dual-clienting is possible and you should try it before you take that break.

Someone already offered to help you out, and even try and lighten the load..

I know how painful leveling on the squishy classes can be I very much do..

Having been a non-ViPer for quite some time I did complain about dying,

the slow exp.. but when help was offered I accepted.. because every bit helps, even if its a lil

here and there, it adds up fairly quickly.

And even tho you may not meet the people you play with IRL they arnt guinnea pigs, they are

human, have feelings get angry or upset just like you.. ( unless youve been grouping with bots o.o )

Point is, the job levels are a lil rough cus youre lvl 99, the edeen board quests are 300k job exp ea,

for killing 30 mobs, yes.. you may die.. but thats why you ask or open a chat..

or respond to MizunoAoi and say..

" Mizuno, could you help me with the eden 9`~99 quests? "

and Im sure he/she (dont know your gender mizuno ) would be more than happy to help...

HELL.. Im sure you could ask some bored to death 150's to help you and theyd be happy to mow down anything breathing for the entertainment.

I hope you take this into consideration, and give it a go.. the worst that can happen is they say no, and you then get to do a Ti..

or level at glast heim ( like I did ) and besides, theres a VERY LONG 2x exp even today after mait till jan 2nd :D

heck I bet the christmas hat quest might reward some job exp too :3

Thanks for your time, take care and stay safe.
