so, here is my idea about zeny rewards given scaled by player's level:
1-30: 15k zeny
31-60: 30k zeny
61-90: 45k zeny
91-120: 60k zeny
120-150: 75k zeny
151-175: 90k zeny (same as zeny reward from gramps)
or, each board has their own zeny reward, no matter what level the player is, the reward is the same. example:
geffen 1-20 board gives 15k zeny for each monster
juno 70-100 board gives 45k zeny for each monsters
lighthalzen bio4 board gives 90k zeny for each monster, and so on
it should be noted that the increase of zeny rewards makes sense since higher level of monsters worth more bounty rewars than lower level one. of course the bounty reward of willow should be different than randel lawrence.

Zeny rewards just encouraging more botters than the players and yes it's your strategy to select the bounties you want, it's already give good alternative levelings for every character I have...
If you want more zeny that's why alt characters there, you really can't optimize one char for both EXP and zeny even when you're AS Ranger that can kill everything...

At step 5 You can already enter to the mob's area, and there's no need to kill Satan Morocc unless you want the accesory.
The amount of people that know about bounty boards is way higher than the amount that know about the RO forum, and asking for a portal can take even 30 mins to find someone that can do that. (Happened to me, 3 times)
I insist, it's easier to find incarnations of morocc than geffenia monsters
the corequisites for the sign take like 5 mins to complete, tops. probably even less. you need to click 6 things for the piano quest in niff, and umbala language quest you need meat and a mr. smile. i don't count them as chains. i completed the sign quest over the course of a weekend (started sat, ended sunday). now if your internet connection has latency or you don't have an agi up ability, then the dance quest might make it so that you never complete the sign quest, but that's something else entirely

well. back to topic, i still think it doesnt make sense that a willow has the same bounty zeny reward as randell lawrence.

my alchemist on vip turned in dark priest bounty at job 30, with exp allocated to base and job, but only up 1 job level and stopped at 93%ish. Is this normal? My gut is telling me there is an error, the job level should've up at least 2 level, because quest exp always cap at 2 level maximum 90%ish.

no it's actually 1 level + 90%, so this (admittedly broken) mechanic is functioning properly.

the low level boards are particularly bad in this regard. there's basically no reason to do the all turn in option to get an emb; you end up losing like 6 levels due to the overflow.

I'm trying to get the boards reconfigured to have the following settings:
- Only players within the level range of a board can take the quests on it.
- Players can either take kill quests individually or Take All.
- Reward 1 EMB if a player takes 4+ kill quests or Take All.
- Reward 75% EXP x 150 kill counts per kill quest (100% EXP x 150 for VIPs).
- Reward 40k zeny per individual turn in OR Take All turn-ins.
- Allow players to turn in quests if they overlevel for the board as long as the kill counts are complete.

thank you for keep updating and improving the project. I really hope the only-1-level-up cap can be removed when turn in quest though. It feels like a waste of exp.

I think that's more in kRO's jurisdiction than iRO.

I remember someone said that the cap is global. but I really do remember that the cap used to be 2 level instead of one, at least in the case of gramps TI

Just to update on the status of the project.

Does this mean a player would lose out on zeny if they chose the turn in all option? it's reading like you get 40k per individual turn in but only 40k total if you decide to turn in everything at once.
also I'm not sure if the zeny value per board is set across all the bbs; I swear the hugel novus boardsgave me 150k using the turn in all option (non-VIP).

iRO has already done something for the higher level boards around chunking the exp to prevent issues; don't see why it couldn't be done for the lower level boards.
