Yeah my ideas would make Rangers a powerful class, but that is the point of the skill balance to balance the not so good classes with Commanders, Druids, Defilers, Tempest, Mystic, Zerker, Sin. Plus we don't even know if they will even be good if any of these ideas actually get implemented. Right now the most a Ranger can hit in Union is around 1.4k on 1 capped defense target at a time while caster classes are hitting 2.5ks on 8 targets with capped resistance at the same time.

 

Yeah I agree that the damage is quite low on Cap Defense compared to other classes, yet without a defense buff from tanks and healers you know that High End rangers can hit other High End +30 mages for 4.5k from 40m. :) commanders, serkers and other melee classes suffer the same thing vs. cap defense. but I agree that Ranger`s damage is around 400 less damage on cap defense compared to other melee classes.

btw. never said AA Avenger won`t work.

many tryd it already and did great with Hunter from ST or Qualin from RoL at SvS

 

If you can afford just go with 0.50% Event Xeons at Accessory and two SCAD+CAD Ball from ET

with the NM Jewels you can try a mix of x4 Magic and x4 Mele so you go Hybrid Mele AND Magic user.

High End rangers can hit other High End +30 mages for 4.5k from 40m.

 

not really unless that "high end +30 mage" has 0 defense. High end +30 mages can hit 6k+ on people with 0% resist

I agree most of the suggestion of Chronic I just want to add:

 

Smoke Shell Firing - This only works for Melee. I suggest it should also works vs Casters.

Note: Until now this don't  not work vs Trinity Gun and Xbow

Swift Poison Bomb Firing

Description: Shorten the casting time of Poison Bomb Firing.
Note: Poison Bomb Firing has been changed to Instant, this DNA is now useless but is still available.

aoe ranger too dangerous lol.aoe caster too op what else a long range aoe, imagine a sr with skill spammable without a dot.without cd and instant.must be crazy lol..its a no for me...what really sucks about auto attack classes is the way accuracy and evasion works...i just hate to see 100 crit when your cad is way higher...havent seen any caster does that..i just see 0 crit from caster or heal but just a grapical bug....

ranger should not and will not be a frontliner...but avenger can..just add another short stun for ranger like uppercut to give them a chance to escape..

      Ranger is one of the least played classes in the game. They have very little damage compared to Commanders, Berserkers and Assassins. The main reason is due to the DEX stat.

 

 

DEX

  • adds very little Physical Critical %
  • evasion/accuracy = completely useless
  • long range dmg

(No CAD)

 

STR

  • short range dmg
  • CAD

INT

  • Magic dmg
  • SCAD
  • resistance

Why is it that Long range classes get no Critical Damage, while all Caster and Short range Physical classes get it? **PLEASE ADD CAD TO DEX**

 

 

Farming Lant/Drops/Experience

  • add lv 90 Ion Explosive Bullets that can hit multiple targets within 10m.
  • Compound Chart:  Icon_ultimate_bullet.jpg +Icon_ultimate_bullet.jpg  = Hunter_Hwahaktan_Launch.gif

Raiding

  • Rangers are currently useless in raids. They have no buffs to give to other characters or any skill debuffs to use on bosses; give rangers a defense debuff skill that takes away -40% of short and long range defense at level 10 so they can be useful in raids.
  • Similar to Warlord's  Warlord_Ferocious_Shout.gif Shout of Ferocious Tiger
  • Replace Hunter_Gopoktan_Launch.gifBombing with a defense debuff 

Skills

  • Hunter_Jungdoktan_Launch.gifPoison Bomb Firing: This buff works against you, giving -1130 defense (this is probably the most fail buff in the game) Get rid of the defense penalty.
  • Hunter_Range_Extension.gifRange Extension:  Another buff that works against you giving +1.0 Attack speed and there is only 1 or 2 tempest in the game that has haste lv 10. Get rid of the attack speed penalty, no point of using a buff when it makes you worse.
  • Ranger_Paralyzing_Launch.gifShock Firing: 1.5 casting time for only a 3 second stun?? Sin's scud is 7 seconds instant cast and druid has instant cast 5 sec stun for multiple targets. Make shock firing instant cast.
  • Ranger_Detection.gifStealth Detection: only has 38m range, sins can easily dash and scud you before you get a chance to shoot them, increase to 50m range at level 10.
  • Ranger_Fixed_Fire.gifFixed Firing:  when a player uses a skill on you it cancels this buff, its bugged
  • Ranger_Head_Shot.gifHead Shot: 3 minute cool down but always misses; make 100% success chance at lv 4

 

Hunter

  • Hunter_Escape_the_Crisis.gifEscaping: If you find a stealthed sin, you can't kill him because he just dashes away. Make the cool down for this shorter so that you can follow sins and druids. It's 23 seconds at the moment, change to 10 seconds
  • Hunter_Contained_Fire.gifDiversionary Firing: Make instant cast since Berserker, Commander, and Assassin all have instant cast movement slows.
  • Hunter_Beat_up.gifUppercut: The 40 second cooldown for this stun is too long, decrease cooldown to 15 seconds at level 10, since defender's shield strike stun is 14 second cooldown, berserker's skull crasher is  13 sec cd, and rogue's home thrust cd is 9 seconds.
  • Hunter_Smoke_Bomb.gifSmoke Shell Firing: This skill is bugged, when you shoot a Ranger/Shadow Runner with the skill at level 10 it does nothing, it is suppose to take away -30m range.

 

New Skill Suggestions

  • Power Ranger Spirit : CAD buff
  • Leech Bullet : similar to Defiler's Vampiric touch, takes the opponents HP and adds to users'
  • Flashbang : takes away 10 buffs from opponents within 10m
  • Shield Pierce: Disables opponents shield for 20 seconds

 

 

A Note to Helium/Alteris

  • Almost every person in union is 20k+ HP and has capped defense due to radiant and protector buffs. When they are in groups they get healed 4-7k HP every second. Rangers hit 1.4k max on characters with Capped Defense. Give Physical classes more defense debuffs and CAD buffs, right now we stand no chance against Commanders with 30k HP, 5k defense and 80% block rate.

 

  • Shadow Runner, Dominator, Ranger, Avenger, Elementalist need to be balanced the most, the rest of the classes are pretty balanced.

 

 

Well he said everything. Just ballance the role, its pathetic as it is now...

Avenger sugestions

 

Escaping and Uppercut -   Able to be used with knukle.  

 

Weapon Upgrade  -   Crtk/Skill Crtk chance .

 

Spreading Chill an Chemical Bomb Fire  - Transfer to rangers 

 

Inducing Honeybee   - Change in a trap with poison (8 tragets)

 

Diversionary Firing  - Change to vengy skills set as trap change name to Slow Trap (8 targets)

 

 

 

Trap stay in fields at u set new traps ,explode or be disarmed. 

Set a disarm radius  less than efetive radius ,trap explode  if u step at disarm area instanly 

 

ex.

Bomb Trap 

efective radius 18m

disaram radius 9 m 

 

A trap can explode another trap ,when the efective radius reach the disarm radius of another trap (create a domino effect)

1.Traps 100% succes no delay /active the first time get touch

 

2.Inducing Honey bee make it like Rage of a Bug (Druid) it useless rite now

 

3.One between Spreding child or Chemical Boom Firing decrease movement speed -3,5sec that 2 skill also useless rite now

 

4.Uppercut and Escaping (Hunter skill) decrease cooldown,couse 40sec downtime uppercut and 23,2 sec downtime escaping is way to long compare to other job dash and stun.

 

5.Smoke Shell Firing (Hunter skill) decrease all range attack include caster.

 

6.Last one : MND for basic trap demage is adding to little demage compare to INT that add majic demage and SCAD. in my opinion MND should add more basic demage on trap.couse for now trapper only can cost max 25% for enemy that have 30k HP,and that is a very good trapper with great item on this server with using 7 trap and knuckle.

 

Avenger are the hardest job to play,mostly player that still play avenger now is people that play avenger more than 2 year,im not wishing avenger to be an OP char in this game,my suggest above just make avenger more playable job,even so we still weak againts commander and berserker.

Forgive me for my Bad engglish or if it realy hard to understand.

i agree detect should be stealth and trap. double the range because investing pnts in it is stupid when a trap already has twice it in its set state. not to mention scud has that crazy ass range too.

 

probly the best 2 ideas i can come up with for ranger are...

 

1  give ranger compounded ion energies for chance aoe bursts(ordinary 50% chance to explode, increase accordingly as u scale up)

2  give ranger aoe dna for Diversionary Firing this will help the class more than anything!!!

     remove 4sec from Diversionary Firing skill downtime. remove lengthened Diversionary Firing dna make it ranger aoe dna.

     add 3-15 meter range to this dna. this way a ranger can slow x targets every 4 sec within 45 meters. this means sins get revealed and slowed =O.

 

         ranger now comes bak to its tru self.

Coming from someone that's quit because of malls - make the damn class playable without selling your house.

 

Same goes for every class.

 

+10-15 cap on all items, rebalance skills to suit from there.

I still consider the worst thing for a Ranger or even Avenger is to use the long range damage having to stand still. That makes the easy prey for any class, that can walk and cast single damage, or rush, dash, scud, etc from 35m. 

A solution could be a skill that allows to attack while walking but reduces the accuracy of the target.

So lets say, range extension increases lvl 10 20m of range and fixed firing allows to attack while still walking but reduces % of accuracy.

i want to used an avenger but i think the dex stats not qualify for the job u should change its stats to melee type bring back the knuckle skill and get some str armors available for the job and i think it would be a nice future for those people creating avenger type players...and also put some suicidal skill for avengers thats why they are called avenger after all.

i hate the idea that avengers was made a mage  and that should be fixed.

 

1. no trap delay

2. please traps should Not be light magic

3.launcher skills for avengers should be debuffing skills ( that's what they was in S1)

4.Knuckles bring it back just for avengers and 2 or 3 skills with it

the 1st knuckle skill should be a upper cut - stun @ max lvl 85%

the second skill ground pound AoE root or slow

3rd a 10m range dash attack that also roll the avenger away from it target 20m

I was playing druid and thought it is weak dmger, but than changed to ranger and I really like the class, but 1vs1 is weakest character in the game, even NPC could beat us! :/

range extension, poison bomb and head shot should get improved at least.

now i play Back on Avenger the Avenge Strike need to Range Meter on 18 so that its easy on us to strike and Escape on 15 meter is too short especially f we 1 on 1 with Sr on Ranger or other Long range Class Please Extend that 15 meter to 18 meter that Avenge Strike and sometimes that Skills  makes Error to used sometime..

Remove casting times from the hunter abilities and make them on hit instead of activated abilities for rangers. Instead of casting, using the ability should cause your next aa to do the what the ability says. This will allow rangers to actually use double shot and quick firing after they hit 47. On top of that, if they are on hit abilities you're not going to run into that problem of oh I can't use anything because even though I can hit people from 50m, none of my cool effects are going to do any of that.

 

Tear bomb is ridiculously broken at lower levels because using it on bosses allows you to solo them if their abilities don't hit you too hard. But it's completely useless later on.. It needs a considerably higher max accuracy debuff but also a lower one early on. Instead of reducing it by a flat amount, it should lower acc by 5 at rank one then 1+rank+accuracy of previous rank so 5/7/10/14/19----70%
