When Iris, Loki, and Chaos were merged into Ymir, you guys had the opportunity to open a PVP server when the only other server we had was Valkyrie. But instead you guys opened Yggdrasil, which was yet another PVM server, which ended up getting merged into new Chaos with Ymir and Valkyrie anyhow.

Why are you guys so afraid to open a PVP server? Heimdallr once said that he thought PVP servers weren't profitable, and yet merging all the PVM servers didn't really do much for you guys, did it?

Considering the kind of hostile environment people are creating for newbies that just want to leave the beginner area in peace, why not just open a PVP server for people who want to kill each other? It would also attract more potential players looking for a PVP experience and a PVP server would give them just that.

i guess is more easy to improve our actual pvp system or create some PVP Zone areas

There has been demand for it in the past, though. Can't know unless we try at least. If they're willing to open Yggdrasil to a low population, why not a different kind of server?

Well I want to see how the Slayer System works and that's only available on PVP servers.

why not make it a event? like, every day at 11:00 pm or something "the moon shines red on the server blablabla..." the server has now been declared pvp-enabled! for 2 hours or so.  altough the exp loss should be removed or this would suck very badly

We already have the PVP rooms that people rarely use. The demand for a PVP server is too low while the cost is too much. There is just not enough people playing this game anymore.

The reason the rooms don't get used is because they're not even advertised anywhere. It's not like the PVP inns have a huge blinking sign over them saying "HEY! PVP IN HERE!!"

With a PVP server, players would be free to fight people anywhere in the game and not be limited to unadvertised rooms.

Besides, the PVP rooms require players to be at least Level 31 to use anyhow. A PVP server wouldn't have that kind of restriction.

I just had a vision of pvp areas being the red light district of each town.  Where would Pront's be?

I might be wrong but you have to be either level 59 or 2nd job before you can PK in those servers?

Not all characters can fight other characters. Players can only be attacked or attack other players once they hit level 61, or change to second class, whichever comes first.

A pvp server is the only way I'd ever consider playing with renewal mechanics.

Pretty much. I think there've been some posts before that showed what it's like on PvP servers, and it's usually just a couple hardcore players and a bunch of bots. Killing bots probably starts to lose its novelty after a while.

a new server cost too much and too much work . i would just implement a dual world where only vip can access. bonus exp to all monster but pvp everywhere. also no mvp or gods allowed
