That doesn't look like a hack to me; dragon breath doesn't have any skill-specific cooldown, so it can be spammed at aspd if you remove the global delay (easy with strings) and remove the cast time (easy with temporal dex boots), so all that's left to ask is "can you cast this fast with any amount of aspd?" The answer is yes. With about 189+ aspd you could cast 4/sec like that RK appears to be doing.

 

The easiest/best way to balance dragon breath is to change the cooldown to skill-specific, 0.5 seconds.

 

In theory yes. If you account the lag you will eventually need to do the full animation. unless of course you send a crapload of packets all at once to the server

Aspd =/= animation delay. Try spamming cart cannon with high aspd. It won't help.
 

 

Perhaps you don't know what animation delay is. Arrow Vulcan is animation delay. Dragon Breath is not. Dragon breath is a normal cast/attack animation. Bowling Bash, Sonic Blow, Arrow Shower, Occult Impaction etc., have specific animation lengths that can't be altered without grf edits, but Dragon Breath isn't one.

funny because they're gonna discredit no delay now since it's replicable with computers right next to the server, so basically no latency, no sort of information sending delay. :>

 

until the so called "balance" everyone should just use nodelay now since it's *legit*!

 

on a serious note, GMs should be banning cheaters, rather than nerfing skills unnecessarily. There are users that do not use nodelay and they're taking unprecedented consequences now because GMs can't tell the difference between those that cheat and those that don't.

I don't play Renewal and I don't have a clue how Dragon's Breath works so I can't comment on any cheating that may be going on. I don't doubt that it IS happening, though, based on the state of Classic. :l I just saw videos that show guild emblems and player names from iRO and poofed them.

Like you say, Campitor made this thread for discussion about nerf DB, so why you edit/delete videos/evidence? a lot people say is not a cheat, so what is the problem?

i 2nd telling us what the set up is Campitor used with a few consumables before we go about nerfing an entire class. If it is something very easy to achieve then maybe a nerf is needed to "balance" it out in WoE cuz that would be a bit ridiculous every RK running about with insta DB
