The housing system is connected to the guild vaults of the castle/fort holders. This gives early access to these guilds while it wasn't even stated anywhere that they get to participate in the Greedy Mine adventure.
As a member of a guild who owns a Fort, I've been lucky to be inside the mine to see what is inside. The mobs are not impressive, and the bosses have no mechanics still, so please don't get your hopes up if you miss PVE content. The general Tank & Spank strategy works super well. Your DPS is reduced if you are a pet user because you may not use pets on this map. The bosses still have millions of HP, and are still plagued by the horrific drop rate of Assassin's Sanctum, Silent Corridor, and Himmelmez Chamber.
Rewards for killing bosses are really not worth the time to camp and kill. I am not sure what purpose giving us Victory Point 1 as a reward for killing a boss in this dungeon. You also get the purple chest that contains level 50 Buff/Recovery pots and if you are super lucky a single Ygg Leaf. Even having more than one channel to kill bosses does not improve the drop rate. I still have yet to see a honing oil, or anything above a Basilisk Green drop.
What I would like to understand from the Devs, is why do they think that there should just be one channel for this because the bosses have a 2.5 hour re-spawn time. The bosses will be heavily camped by larger guilds who have managed to take a fortress. Currently there are 6 guilds in Odin that have access to the Greedy Mine. After the 15th 2 or 3 guilds might also join the frenzy in the greedy mine. This is going to be a tight situation once all 20 guild houses have been integrated into the game.
Lets not forget the map is OPEN pvp. The smaller guilds who are trying to kill a boss runs into a larger unfriendly guild their hard work at trying to kill a boss will be erased. That is one classy element of surprise!
Here are some more questions:
If you have a guild house, but take a Fort/Castle in WoE do you lose your house?
Will there be more official channels added for Greedy Mine?
Is the drop rate the same for AS/SC/HC?
Also discovered that when you die in Greedy Mine you spawn in Prontera. That is great for guilds who have the option to "warp" to their guild house from the guild menu. If you are a castle or fort holder to gain entrance you have to go back to your fort/castle via a WoE warp. This is extra troublesome for guilds who own forts in Morroc because in order to get back to fighting you have to warp several maps to even get back inside Greedy Mine
