1. Both of my current machines are higher spec than both of yours, and I wouldn't be surprised if higher spec than iRO's servers. I only use ECC ram unless it's a laptop because Intel are complete and utter scammers with mobile xeon price and AMD laptops never support ecc despite all the cpus supporting it.

2. The 7 year old machine which had linux on it (probably antergos) was also higher spec than your AMD and probably on par with the laptop.

 

It may have been a bug with the specific VM program I used(dont remember which it was but it was one that supported more DX versions than the others), but resampling too large images didn't work the same in Irfanview as it does in windows and Photoshop had some intermittent off the wall "display" issues that even affected the output saved processed image(I was using heavy duty 3rd party filters that can't be done in GIMP).

 

That effectively meant I had to wait another 20 minutes to reprocess the image, after restarting the vm. Luckily the image didn't need any manual work, oh god!!!

 

VMs mostly work fine but they can still introduce problems and a heavier resource tax, they should be avoided unless completely necessary.

 

Most likely a bug then. I normally use VMware for my VM, but had nothing but trouble with Oracle VM VirtualBox, Course it could also be hardware, My FX 8350 is actual better at multitasking (like running Civ 5 or 6 in one monitor and running another game or a VM in another one then my laptops I7, even if the FX design is messed up as hell. Single core performance wise though my laptops I7 tends to be better, though just slightly since it's only 2.8ghz with with single core boost of 3.8ghz. A desktop I7 would smoke my fx 8350 though. Different CPU and different hardware for different jobs.

Down last night...was hoping it would be up this morning when I woke up and at first even the patch server was down lol, now it's just the login server again...I'm not sure if I'd call taking two steps backwards and one step forward progress...but it's something.

damn I think I wrongly logged in in a bot account, it has several piece of cakes, 3 myst case cards and 2 cruiser card... 

 

Im not evil, but I almost throw the cards in the ground...

I swear, I do know something about computers, but I don't understand how it's possible to log in to another account.

The end point should compare the username and password, and return the user's authentication. How the hell is giving information from other account? And I know it is, it also happened to me.
