I'm curious about how this affects boxter and any attempts for trying to get any old ocp items.

Btw, can we have Guild Storage NPC added to these locations:

Why not let it to be choice intead random?

 

Stills falls under the necesary to spend x2 or x3 times the 3k if you dont get the OCP gear you want (DLC greedy model) Also, we are not sure at the "random rare item" you will put 50/50, or if will put a rare item 30% and other less desired rare 60%, not to mention sometimes you put sunglasses as rare, or some random gear paired with a really wanted gear.

Will this new OCP system be used for the Remix boxes as well? There are some older rare items that I would definitely want to use this system to try and get, but the only way that would happen is if:

1) the older rare items end up in the OCP Remix, and

2) the new system is used for the Remix boxes as well.

Old Suggestion seems much better. Unless they only put one Rare item instead of two or three, and for $30-40 I would like to choose what I'm getting, and not gamble. If I go to the store and spend money, I'd like to pick what I go home with, and now just have a small chance it's something I wanted.

As a TCG player, this more recent model is quite alright. Similar to buying a booster box, you get guaranteed quantities of X rarity cards within the box, but there are options within that list. Like in Yugi, you get 1 Secret Rare per Box, but there are like 8 Secret Rare per set. Or in Pokemon, where you get 4 Full arts (or better) per booster box, but there are plenty to collect. Same here. You get a guarantee Rare and Semi Rare per 3k spent, but different from TCG, you can even get rares/semi rares in the first 8 boxes as well.

No, the prior system you hada tiny chance of getting what you wanted, since it was pure rng.


Now without any additional cost you gain guaranteed rewards and much much higher odds of obtaining the desired items

honestly you guys are overreacting too early. The first option is really not that good compared to the second-whicch MAY have it own issues, but we gotta wait and how they decide to set the rare list. Remember, you are basically paying 4K KP for random boxes and only 2 new items from the new OCP. May be able to choose but it's like an entirely different model from the current one. May be too big of a change.

 

Second one basically is just our current one become version 2.0, with guaranteed rare drops on 10th try and semi rare on 5th try. Now, if they do not mess with rates going forward or make the rare list become horrendously bad, it will be an improvement. We just need to wait and see.

read more carefully the old suggestion, step 1-9 is RANDOM OLD OCP (from I to XXVIII), and the step 10 is THE latest ocp

would you pay for 9 OLD RANDOM OCP & 1 choosen new ocp for 4k kp??

It will depend on the contents of new OCP, if you absolutely want an item you'd pay that price tag.

It amuses me how ppl are treating this like they have to speend the 3000 points to get a single item, and do not realize that it's still the same box style you have been buying for the past idk how many months, but it just have even better odds.

Yeah exactly. Just because the rare/semi-rare is only guaranteed at steps 5 and 10, that doesn't mean you won't get lucky getting the item you wanted at steps 1-3 already. Just give it more thought, people

Will the individual OCP Boxes remain available on the cash shop, though?

Usually there's like 3 semi-rare and 2 rare items, so basically step 5 = 60% chance of a semi-rare and 40% chance to get a rare, then step 10 is a 50/50 chance of which one of the rares you get.

That's on top of 8 normal rate OCP's + little goodies like the extra BB's/gums

New system is much more favorable to people who buy OCP

The WPE cost of getting rares should go down, so maybe zeny cost will go down too

But the real question is will we actually be getting higher-level game content to match the decreasing difficulty of getting overpowered items from ascension?

Or are we to expect more "gem too ezpz naw. Em bored" in the near future?

so far what's been developed by kRO does not even tickle the current power level that the player character can obtain.

Even the "harder" content like the EDDA Hard Mode, while it can be a threat, and has interesting and punishing mechanics, you can ignore all of that by just getting more and more damage and killing the boss before any of that takes place.
