But the real question is will we actually be getting higher-level game content to match the decreasing difficulty of getting overpowered items from ascension?

Or are we to expect more "gem too ezpz naw. Em bored" in the near future?

So if the new suggestion "OF GETTINNG RARE" has percentages of having more desired and lesser desired rare items then what's the difference between the old system? If u are putting Sunglasses and Nature Dress in the same category as Rare, it rather more or less like the old system doesn't it? It defeat the whole purpose after all, its back to RnG like the old system. But anyhows, I like this new suggestion of putting MORE less desired items for rare so that "RARE" wont be a common item throughout entire iRO.

I would probably be pissed too if my gear are devalued from 5b to 300M. But why the hell a clean gear worth 5b in the first place -_-.
I can argue that 70% of current ro population engage in rmt or bot just to buy equip for their chars. 20% whale who just bought the boxes in bulks to get what they need and 10% casual player who dont bot or rmt, spend some wpe here and there. Maybe less.

I'm guessing the only reason why some of you guys want "rare" to remain rare is so you can make zeny off of them, which is perfectly fine btw. But you're forgetting that there are other people who want to obtain their items with as little contact with the toxic player economy as possible -- which is perfectly ok too.

And the bloody freaking obvious-as-heck difference is that you're already guaranteed NOT to get a Common/Uncommon-level item after each 5 steps.

In steps 2,3,4,7,8,9 there's no difference to current OCP system, you draw from the pool of everything. In step 1, you get 4 Bloody Branches along with your regular OCP opening. In step 6, you get 4 HE Bubble Gums along your normal OCP opening. In step 5, you get an OCP opening where you only draw chances from items in the Semi Rare category and up. In Step 10, you get an OCP opening that only draws from the Rare category. 

 

Even in the unlikely scenario that they put Sunglasses [1] and 2 worthwhile rare items, your chances in Step 10 go from 1% to 66% of getting a worthwhile item. If they put just good Rares, you got a 100% chance of getting a worthwhile item at Step 10. Depending on the amount, you get 50% or 33% chance of getting what you want. Since all odds are even, this puts a zeny ceiling to vendors.

You have backup on those numbers? :U Gear devaluing hurts, of course, but it's a risk game and always has been. Investing and economy are complex and they will mess you up.

Yes, this. Keeping rares RNG within their tier guarantees a pay off, but also maintains player trading and selling relevant.

Whatever the system is, Bulk 3k KP or 300kp per box its for the own Mission of iRO, I get it. But the new system will vastly spread the RARE items throughout the server. So where's the rarity in it? Unless, there are 10 RARE items which has percentages of getting the desired ones. (Its back to RnG basically) or ADD another new category Super Rare Category where all the good items listed here. 

 

And 3k KP is super easy to purchase for getting a RARE items. All the OCPs has average of 3 Rares ONLY, I wonder how is it gonna be like Rare items selling for 500m and below. I guess It's messed up the meaning of Rare here practically.

the difference is very simple, in the old system you took a random item between 11 ~ 12, being 1 or 2 rare, in the new one in the fifth box it is a random item between 3 ~ 5 and in tenth box it is a random between 1 ~ 2 items.
if the current box template is followed.

I do not know about you, but I do not buy zeny, all the in-game money I have/had was with dropping/selling in-game items and the few times I used kp with vip "the only good item I I picked up was the gamble seal ".
so having "rare" items at 500m would be a really good thing, good times when the economy was healthy and they sold wpe at 100m 1000 wpe

Okay I admit I just pull the number from thin air. Haha. But playing for a bit and interacting with players and friends, rmter and botter is alive and well. Its not hard to figure out when your new friend who started from nothing and had no idea how to refine already got all his char equip to teeth with +9/+12/+15 weapons and gears lol. These demographic of player we have mostly old people with jobs and some of them is paid well. The one who didnt rmt/bot ussually dont last long in the scene , probably choose other games to play... Hence the low %.

Same here. Why is it a bad thing? This new system benefits all players who purchase WPE. Community wins and WP wins.

Obviously this hurts people who count on selling the OP items for crazy amounts of zeny (3b, 4b, 5b, etc), but these people are the very low % of server population.

Ultimately, I think the benefits outweigh the negative impact for the new system.

Rare within a lootbox tiering system does not imply the item must have less than 20,30, 50 or whatever units in circulation on the server, lol. It's just the most difficult to obtain in that box and that's all.

I play in iRO for 5 years, it's not a long time, but it's also not small, and I've never done RMT / bot and I have several high end items.

exactly, some people didnt even play the game, they just afk n pub in eden selling ocp playing the zenny/economic/RMT game

please add the daily quests from verus to the uniform cooldown as they are not yet.
