Consistent updates, that we will be eventually getting, but on a slower side.

OP items, that we will get in the form of kachua, or even in the form of updates.

 

And what's yr take on RO GGH that are currently on episode 14? 

 

As thiagomestres already mentioned, it is very easy to form a party in RO GGT. I doubt if solo'ing green MvPs is a common phenomenon to see in RO GGT. My take is, nope ... hardly see any. Even the richest whale in RO GGT might have a hard time to solo a high-end green aura MvP.

 

Also, you cant just compare iRO to RO GGH like that. Different items, updates, and most importantly ... population. How about ... remember the "Sarah-effect-like headgear costume" that happened durting the tournament event? Any spenders received the Sarah-like costume headgear when they spent money to certain amount. Many people cried and said it was impossible to deal with Sarah card. Result? then lots of people rage quit. Right? Joke on them, iRO WoE folks devour Sarah card users for breakfast and dinner. There you go. Does this mean, folks on RO GGT suck? No, just different servers ... different resources.

As far as i know, one of the MAIN PURPOSE of getting OCPs and upgrading items, is to KILL MVP and not normal monsters.

 

So if it the items we're spending on and WORKING HARD TO GET would only have 10% effect on those we INTENDED TO DEFEAT,

 

is there any purpose of buying OCP and upgrading anymore?

 

OCP gears have multiple purpose.

 

1) Mitigate the stupidity of kRO in Class Balance. 3-4 years ago, RG, Mech, Rangers and Mage Classes were -_-. You either use GX or Geneticist.

2) Leveling made easier, faster and even feasible for certain classes. Leveling RG was stupid and painful before.

3) Make MVPing faster, easier and more efficient.

4) Make WoE/PvP more balanced.

lol one thing surprises me is that they didn't buff bio3,4,5 mvps. even field mvps are way stronk.

thanks , so its possible to solo green aura boss , as for me i didnt do any boss hunting in my gameplay just a casual outgoing in any map when im satisfy on my current level...

Was the [Doram update] just a Google Translate... because it's a bit confusing and the skill names are not the same.

 

"Swarm: The effect is modified so that it does not apply to homunculus, spirits, and mercenaries."

--What is this Swarm skill?

 

"Savage's horn effect area is corrected more clearly."

--What is Savage's horn?

 

"Soul of Savage: It is modified so that it can be cast on allies while holding down the SHIFT key."

--Tried this, but nothing happened. Is there a buff that they're secretly getting?

 

Also, where and how do we obtain those [new Ep 16.1-17.1 gears]?

Nothing changed there. I'm saying the same what I said. WP should put buffed MvPs in special maps, where PvP is enabled there.

 

Buffed MvP = Green aura MvP

Special maps = Maps where these Green aura MvPs reside and PvP mode enabled to make it challenging for PvM pros.

 

Nothing hard to understand.

If I have a +11 item and will refine it using HD ores, what will the refine rate be during this event? and in case of failure, will the item break o just decrease in upgrade? Thanks

Again, thats my original comment. Not sure where I indicated to "have MVPs be moved to a map where PvP is enabled" as you mentioned. Like i said, what are you smoking? Give me some lol

Ofc, WP aint going to do that. They know that most players in iRO love OHKO MvPs lmfoa

as for the new equipment, you can do the episodic daily instances and collect respective tokens (honor tokens, schwartz honor token, and unknown part+corcore)

you can turn in those tokens for 16.1 | 16.2 | 17.1 equipment respective to the job of your character interacting with the NPC

 

as for the NPC location i believe it was somewhere around the original episodic equipment (eg. 16.1 = flattery/abusive robe, 16.2 = agenda/consul robe, 17.1 = illusion equipment)

The notion some players have that "some MVPs should be easy" is such a disconnect with the intentions of the update.

 

Unfortunately kRO took too long to finally address the issue, leaving mvps a joke for a decade+, but the intention behind of the update is clearly that these are special boss monsters, not some pushovers with disproportionally powerful rare drops.

They were never "meant" for any particular kind of player. It is unfortunate that people on the lower end are more affected by the change than others, but the issue ultimately lies in the progression path and not the monster itself. There are many onboarding and new player focused changes that should've been made long ago that would help alleviate the issue, not only for this, but for the entire leveling and progression roadblocks as a whole.

y'all need to stop complaining amongst one another with that he said she said and get you're voices over to suggestions and proposals and start getting the attention of WP/Gravity, I'm sure they don't want a game that nobody is able too play or anyone other terrible excuse for a new post thats been read in last 48 hours we all know they're a greedy bunch so take advantage of the situation and propose some damn suggestions. and thanks for all the decent informational posts and comments that ive used to help better my own experience with ragnarok please keep it up guys its much appreciated.

it has GTB+Kiel on and some of those MVPs are still look tough

Dear Gm, 

 

I just returned last month to playing RO from several years because i just like to play the same game i played before. Admittedly I don't expect to catch up fast with those who continued to invest on the game for the past years. But I was only hoping to be able to play casually onwards. Gearing up again a little helped me with this. Killing some MVPs for fun just because you can is nice to feel. But I noticed those high level players camping the tombs for hours then taking the kills, even though the MVPs were for low level players (i think). So now that this 90 per cent damage reduction was implemented, it proved harder to kill the MVPs for casual players like me and enjoy that part of the game. The said implementation also removed competitions for uber geared up players killing low level MVPs. If the 90 percent reduction was only meant to slow down the said killing time, may i inform you this also gave more time for geared high level players to snatch kill from low level players just trying out to kill the MVPs (like what happed to my friend who spent a lot of his token of Siegfried to kill GTB then at the end was snatched from him by a simple cart cannon spell from a high level player.

 

Nonetheless, may I suggest maybe that you may:

1) create an instance for high level players to kill bosses with 90 per cent damage reduction but with higher drop rates? (maybe like ET nightmare or something like that). This should give the said players an incentive in doing the said instance.

2) reduce the drop rates for players with high level gap on the MVP level or those from level 100 and above in MVPs on the fields. This should discourage geared players to farm low level MVPs and focus their attention on the said instance in number 1 instead.

Why every -_- video about green aura on youtube is some char with 2xBest in slot ring (pazuzu and other -_-), GoldenThiefBug in shield, Kiel in helm and other "accessible" gear?

 

Is this really "average" iRO player? Is this whole game just for them?

Swarm skill maybe referring to the Fresh Shrimp/Tasty Party Shrimp/Bunch of Shrimp skill (when u use Fresh Shrimp/Tasty Party Shrimp//Bunch of Shrimp, it can apply its effects to homun and merch, now it will be removed because in kro mind its a bug)

 

Savage Horn effect = Spirit of Savage animation has been change (instead of animating and then damage the monster, it will animate and damage the monster at the same time)

Spirit of savage enable you to use the skill on ppl with the shift key (it wont give you any buff effect on ppl, it only just add a functionality that u can click on ppl to trigger the skill instead of just by clicking the monsters.. i know it is pretty useless fix xD)

 

You can google search cause only pRo have the info.

 

Oh btw, Gravity just introduce another visual bug for the cat, for example the animation for catnip meteor speed up by x2, male doram costume garment display wrong with using halter and no sound given when using tasty party shrimp skill.

 

AND they finally fix the doram spawning multiple tuna, IMA GONNA MISS THE SEA OF TORNADO TUNA RIP...

Anyway, CAT.exe is not responding

green aura mvps update would have felt just fine if the the rewards where increased as well, as they where in kRO...

Can you please explain how to summon YSF Seyren? Inside Werner's Laboratory Instance, choosing Story Mode only allows you to go to an unending storyline loop and choosing Battle Mode will only encounter Cutie.

 

It is not implemented in iRO for some reason, as stated on the Wiki: https://irowiki.org/...ry_Central_Room

We can only hope it will someday be implemented. I'm sorry :ani_swt3:


Nvm, I just saw it should have been implemented...

I tested and it is not working. YSF should appear at the end of Story Mode, but, as you said, instead we get into an unending story cicle.

@CMGarnet please ask the team to add YSF01 Seyren to Story Mode at Werner Laboratory Central Room as informed here http://renewal.playr...ail.aspx?id=346 where you stated: "Episode 16.2- Terra Gloria has been updated to include an additional encounter versus YSF Seyren! You can learn more about Episode 16.2"

Does anyone know how to change hairstyles to the alternate ones that used to be offered at the lighthalzen NPC? the ones that required 100 pcs of hair from different mobs? TA

 

Because of the bug, you can send a ticket requesting hair change, you will have to specify character and hair desired. Also, I belive you need to have the required items in your character inventory.

It sure might be disconnected with the intentions of this update, but at least it takes into account the reality of this server and it's average player, aswell as the lackluster rewards when it comes to a lot of these bosses', which were certainly meant to be easier than other mvps, as shown by the obvious difference in level, stats, skills and rewards. 

 

Nearly all good games have bosses that were meant to be faced by less powered up individuals, as even them like to challenge themselves sometimes with something other than grinding. And just because these bosses weren't a challenge to you doesn't mean they weren't a challenge to someone else, especially since they had to hunt and kill these monsters before a crazy op player could. 

 

Where are these disproportionally rare drops you speak of? Because i certainly don't think something like a Hatii fang or an Elunium will ever pay for the consumables and rare equipment used to beat them, nor the exp will ever be worth it after these insane boosts. Unless you drop a mvp card, but that is something that most players will never experience. 

 

There were plenty of MVPs that weren't pushovers, but that became that way simply because some players spent WAY too much money on broken OCP items, making these monsters ridiculously weak, which they will still be for them anyway, as proven in the video made by the lvl 185 ridicuously powered up RK.

 

For all purposes, boost the likes of Bio, Morroc, Beelzebu, Valkyrie and some of the newer mvp that us less funded players don't even dare to think about defeating. Even boost the weak ones to a lesser degree. But there is literally no reason to give such a ridiculous big boost to low lvl mvps whose 99.98% of their drop are worth less than actual common monsters' drops and whose exp is maybe what you'll get from 5 minutes of grinding at the Clock Tower.

Your point about the bad MVP reward makes sense. With green aura, the current reward sucks.

 

But for your point of MVP competitions, no one is blocking you from being stronger in this game, you keep mention you average players can kill MVPs before another OP player come, but isn't this part of the competition too? If you are weaker, you just lose, that is fair isn't it? You can always find proper MVPs to kill with whatever gears and skills you have, what you are saying is like "oh I want to compete higher tier MVPs with worse gear, but I still want the same chance to get good rewards from them", do you think it sounds fair?

 

Also there is something called "instance" in iRO like Central lab and ET, where you face no competition and you can take however long to kill the MVPs. Again the MVPs in field maps are free for all, don't cry like a baby if you cannot compete with others.
