The least he could do for us is shed some more light. I mean there's gotta be a reason behind all these point spending promotions.

Easy this may be a F2p game, but they still need to make money to run it. Nothing bad about that itself, but an event like is uncalled for.

Trust me I believe you. It is uncalled for. I'm only doing the event for my Pally to be Dragoon.

If you are participating in the event I do think it would be best to refrain from describing its evils.

I have a child named WarpPortal, as it grows his mouth is gettin bigger and bigger; oh god i have to feed him so badly, he seems hungry all the time... man i should stop feeding him and make him workout!, but he's too blind too see his overweight. Oh well.. i'm his father and i have to maintain this child, BUT CHILD YOU MUST KNOW I'M VERY UNHAPPY WITH YOU and SOMEDAY! i will stop being your father.

This event destroy the fun and challenges the game has =.=. Really ridiculous event.

Trust me I believe you. It is uncalled for. I'm only doing the event for my Pally to be Dragoon.

And i thought playing as pally already has no challenge..."Challenges are a true test of strength and intellect. Winning or losing the fact that you tried and never gave up should be respected by itself. And to those who insult you for your supposed lack of strength, let them keep in mind that he who has no respect for his opponent, comrade, or whoever they insult is not a true champion." -CoolSam. (Yea I made that quote. And I'm sticking by it.)

You are seems not sticking to your believe =.=.

According to Aramis, they'll make announcements and check which accounts will receive it. After they make sure they know everyone they'll contact us and ask for the character we want. If you wanna be really generous and gift it to another account then ask the GM's if this is allowed.

I'd like to respond by answering a question in the survey from Hasteur's wishlist with a little rant.

No.

I do not buy points because the "benefit" received from spending a lot of money on the game is so high that it eliminates most (now almost all) of the "challenge", effort, and experience of actually playing this easy game normally. Buying IM is a shortcut to winning. The problem with IM - Let us think of IM as "cash based cheat codes - is that once you've inserted GameShark (bought IM), activated your codes (Turned into Barney with uber defense and attack stats, fast forwarded through leveling, whatever benefits you want), and skipped straight to the final boss and beaten it (killed the last pve boss, been victorious in"high level pvp" thanks to your amazing gear, whatever).... you aren't really left with much of a game anymore....In fact, there is very little to do. You pvp with the same people. You kill the same endgame boss over and over. You get bored, so now you wait for the next update.... When the update comes, you buy more points (insert GameShark) and get all the best stuff quickly and rob yourself of the actual gaming experience of playing all over again. IM should enrich your gameplay experience with a few extra perks and let you have more fun. Currently I'd rather pay someone money to bash my head against their easy button then spend money on this. Spending lots of money to make things super easy is a waste.

Why you want to sell us magic mario whistle to warp to world 9, gravity and Barunson. SO WE CAN NOT ONLY CHEAT, BUT CHEAT OURSELVES!? Unreasonable? If everything is completely pay2win, smart players eventually catch on, becoming aware of the aforementioned cycle. Players stop playing. Money stops coming. You trick more players into paying for instant virtual reward? LOL. I wonder how long that is going to last? Pay4Aboost is fine, but the level of the boost needs to be kept in check! The fleeting and instant gratification that comes from (removed due to inappropriate content) buying a temporary victory, in a casual game, isn't worth being deprived of the real experience of a meaningful and long lasting relationship actually playing that game. You are encouraging players to take massive shortcuts and forfeit the feeling of accomplishment that comes from achieving game goals through actual commitment and character and skill development.

The benefits of buying IM should never be so great and so numerous that the cash player is not even in the same league as the normal player. I can't even naked pvp other ninja's in my guild without things being unfair because of lvl 10 skills and . =( The current level of benefit from IM destroys the game and makes free players accomplishments feel insignificant. "If I had only spent 100 dollars, I could have done this instantly, instead of over a few months!" "If I had known about this event, I could have snapped my fingers and achieved victory, instead of 'wasting my time'."

In Dragon Saga, there is now a cash item for everything (randomizers, fatigue potions, pet randomizers, reducers, card insurance, etc, etc, etc, etc). There are cash item for everything that Barunson can think of. We don't need so much (except for maybe fashion wise). Things were sooo.... much better long ago on THQ when there was a much smaller amount of cash items that had an impact on balance, gear could not be enchanted as high, and we had larger inventories. I felt like we were being given a fun game that we could pay to support, instead of....well THIS. I spent money back then because I thought things were more fair, balanced, and fun. The benefits of cash items were much less and becoming powerful involved more actual game play (farming valuable weapon dusts) and less insurance (max level 15 with better rates).. We never had cash equips with significant stat boosts before or a bigwheel that made us gamble and waist money to get what we want. The cash sets were more just for fun, with a slight boost, which is what the entire cash shop should be like. Insurance has always been a problem, but I never dreamed this game would reach this level of pay2win.

So how can you get me to buy IM? Simple. Dumb things down. Make the game more fun, friendly, and fair for everyone. Make IM something that adds to the fun of the game instead of something that is required to win, unless you want to spend 238972983791 hours farming just to keep up with the crazy cash spender. Offer less massive benefits that destroy game balance and more fun and creative items in the cash shop that add to the cash users "game experience", instead of their characters experience, level, and stat values. Make this an actual game again! D:<

Why..
You sold skill points, you sold AP and WP, now you're selling levels?

Can we get a moderator to answer that question? ^

Who comes up with our events, and what is the reasoning behind thinking this was a good idea.

the reason behind thinking of this is obvious and for one reason, $

I really don't get point of not doing a mix event with the double up and lv80 challenge as wel as giving away free maxed level characters for $100 lol :glomp:

I'm pretty sure pple will reasona and think about this that they are spending money a game that will never grant money back making them lose money and never profiting even though you think you are profiting in-game

Explode money on WP? SURE! Why not? Go ahead!
Reason why? It's quite doesn't sound right that first of all, they didn't designate the rightful time that should be posted on the dragonsaga main page clearly stating with words that the double up event shall be awarded levels AFTER the EotY event in which i, myself, and an enormous amount of pple didn't see AT FIRST.

I am pretty sure this will drag the "kids" in as well and cause many complaints for the computer inefficient pple to be helped by the computer efficient pple in order to write to the community and game managers.

Please, i already know all these things [oh do you?] as i have experienced this same thing in more than 10 different mmorpgs. I, myself am a hardcore gamer as well as others and i am sure that this is a you-know-what.

I know that trolls will be trollin but consider the benefit guys, seriously, "There's no reason for this" maxed lv account buying for $100 and confusing many pple with the double up and EotY event as it has already spread out.

I really think these events should be mixed as spending $100 is fine in getting at least some IN-GAME MONEY back. Not to mention that giving away virtual money for accomplishing being a lv40 and using the double-up event does not compare to real life money.

I intuitively assumed the events were supposed to go together, until I read when the IM was going to given out and realized that it wasn't possible. And yeah, I've come up with that answer to my question too, just curious if WP has anything to say or if they are just going to ignore this thread or delete it. I guess we shall just wait and see, but I'm guessing this is just as sketchy as it seems.

Not announcing the leveling event before Jan 1st so that people could prepare and start leveling then was sketchy because it gave people uneven head starts.
Disallowing dragonkins then allowing them again once the event was already announced was sketchy.
Buying levels in general is extremely sketchy.
Why are things in this game consistently unprofessional and poorly run? (rhetorical)

I'm sorry because this game had a ton of potential, maybe it still does, but with the amount of random changes we've had, the amount of feedback that we have needed to give because the developers either don't care or have no idea how their gear and classes actual work in the game, and pay2win events... It's just really only possible to give the benefit of a doubt for so long..

I agree with ace 100%. It does seem to be all about the money. I mean, it's like the companies are selling out or just don't get a damn, but when you put a big neon sign up that says "Money is everything" and another that says "Having level 80 characters should be more important to players than the holidays" (not sure what benefit WP or gravity gets from having lots of capped on a server, but I'm sure they feel there is something, which I bet involves more money).... we'll, I'd suspect those signs would catch the attention of more players and there would be a bit more outrage and maybe an attempt to disprove what the sign says. Maybe our community has just dwindles to the point where there are very few left who really care.

It's funny how my facetious signature repeatedly has repeatedly turned out to be right on the dot.

And I really don't mean to sound so cynical, but what other way is there to view this?.....
People in the guild I'm in are participating in this event, and I even know at least one is buying IM to instant level multiple characters he says just to have alts to farm elga medals. And no other reason. Lols. As long as there are players who continue to behave that ridiculously, these events will likely continue to happen.. xD

I suppose prince or someone might now try to explain the events to me and how they are okay, and this isn't the end of dragon saga , but I honestly just find this whole thing :glomp: hilarious.

Btw, if anyone wants to make a guild called "Greenies" (after the adorable and lovable trollish grinning cousin of Woodie) and wear all advanced (green) equips +7 or lower for pvp and everything else just to troll Barneys, and have some fun, I might be interested in that. I mean honestly there is no :glomp: point in any sort of gear based or level based competition in this game anymore, so why bother with it.

Have a great holiday, everyone.

Wish all the best. #4

This ain't fair, now you can pay to level?

I don't have a credit card and live in a country where game cards for Warp Portal aren't available, I can get small amounts of IM via cell phone (at an inflated price) and have done for a couple of things, but it kills me to see (more) players with stats that I can only dream of.

I started playing back in THQ days and it was only a handful of players with all legendary stuff with nice stats. For a small time player like myself, you farmed (alot) and if you were lucky there might be some good pieces on the market and your weapons didn't break when you tried to make it special without insurance scrolls.

I understand the lack of cash players was part of the reason we are know under the watchful eyes of Warp Portal and I know they have to make money, but it has now got to the point of bieng able to buy your way to the top.

However, if the costumes didn't have stats on them, would they still be bought in such huge amounts? probably not...

EDIT: Here's a thought, maybe sponsership might help, who's up for a KFC in Libra?

There is nothing that's impossible in a game that offers cash shop.

And there is no point to discuss why they do this and do that.

totally agree

Totally disagree. Back in thq, I didn't even spend more than a penny. Now with the big wheel and mix board, it has brought out the gambler side of everyone due to the stats.

As for the dbl lvl event. Not so bad. WoW players buy capped accounts all the time. Back then it was 200-400 depending what class, even more depending what type of items you offer.

Zzz I wonder if I spend 200 dollars, I can dbl a lvl 20, then dbl again for lvl 80 lol. If only I was rich.
