Take a traceai (see instructions I gave to others a few pages back) of homun not using debuff skill where it should and post that, and also please include AAIStartH.txt and AAI_ERROR.log (if present) from your RO folder.

Where is the traceai file?

You need to include that too (traceai.txt in your RO folder)


It looks like there's an issue with reading the default tactic, based on the error log. But I need the trace to figure out what's leading up to that.

Also, can you also post the version of Const_.lua that you're using? I forgot to advance the version numbers in dev 16 for the constant file, and I can't reconcile the errors recorded in AAI_ERROR.log with the contents of the constant file distributed with dev 16, so I want to be sure you're using the same version.

There are also some very suspicious entries in the skill fail log (before all the AAI_ERROR entries that look like they're related to the debuff problem), which look to be pointing at an API bug. What were you doing just prior to that? Were you running off the screen of the homun and having it tele back to you or something?

Regarding the issue related to debuff behavior...

There's at least one underlying fault in the tactics error handling and an additional lack of necessary logging to expediently debug issues with tactics.

However, I think the most pressing issue (for you) is easy to correct -

Add the following lines to H_Extra:
DEBUFF_BREEZE_C=-8026
DEBUFF_BREEZE_A=8026

This should cause the AI to correctly interpret the naga tactics.

I used azzy ai some month and now this error pops up everytime i try to open the ai interface:

You must run the configuration tool from inside the USER_AI folder.

That error indicates that you're trying to run it in a location other than the one containing the configuration file.

im running it in my AI>USER_AI folder and put all files in there already re-downloadet it too but still the error pops up :/

Then the configuration tool can't see the config file.

Are you running Windows vista or later with UAC enabled and RO installed in program files? This configuration is not supported because UAC interfere with AI installation and configuration. RO must be located in a location other than program files on these versions of windows.

If UAC is enabled (default setting), the RO folder must not be located in program files for the AI to work properly. Move the whole RO folder somewhere else.


There are ways to make it work in program files, but I do not offer support for this, as I do not fully understand the variation in behavior between systems.

It's not saving anything when not run as admin, then.

Either RO is located inside program files and UAC is enabled (this configuration is not supported - it's a miracle you made it work at all, generally installation fails and the game loads the default AI)

-or-

you have some sort of weird permissions problem - this is specific to your configuration and you'll have to investigate what's going on.

1. I have instances where the AI simly doesn't save my changes to the AI? I change something, press ""save changes" and close the AI. But then if i go back straight into the AI, the changes were not saved. This have happened on various occasions and I have to reinstall the AI and adjust all the settings again.

2. When i set Sera to use Pain Killer to "ASAP".......sometimes it just keeps on using it over and over again...........I know that it's suppose to use it ASAP when Painkiller ends, but would I set something wrong in the AI?

3. The poison mist mode doesn't seem to be working...........................I set to usepoisonmist to "true",.........and Poisonmistmode as "Bersek".

Please help.

1) You need to vap/recall homun after saving. If that doesn't work, there's a problem with the installation, and it's not able to save settings at all.

Be sure you are running the configuration tool from the USER_AI folder where the AI is installed, not from some other location.

The configuration tool cannot correctly save settings if RO is installed inside of program files on Windows Vista and later with UAC enabled (the default setting) - per documentation we do not support this configuration. Please move the RO folder outside of program files if this applies to you.

2) Please record a traceai of this - I thought i'd fixed that issue, and I can't seem to reproduce it myself.

1. Open your RO folder, and delete the following files:
* TraceAI.txt
* AAI_ERROR.log (if present)
* AAI_SKILLFAIL.log (if present)
2. Summon your homunculus, wait for problem to manifest.
3. Type /traceai immediately as soon as you see it bugging out.
4. After it sorts itself out, or after a minute or so, type /traceai again to turn off logging.
5. Send me the following files:
* AAIStartH.txt in your RO folder
* AAI_ERROR.log in your RO folder (if present)
* AAI_SKILLFAIL.log in your RO folder (if present)
* TraceAI.txt in your RO folder
* H_Extra.lua in your USER_AI folder
* H_Config.lua in your USER_AI folder

3. If you set it to berserk, it will only use poison mist while in berserk mode (see documentation). Berserk mode is disabled by default, so it would never activate unless you've set up berserk mode. You probably want one of the other options (if you want it to keep it up always, use IDLE, the default option).

Azzy, just reporting in: I've been having a lot of issues getting a bow merc to work well in any map with lots of null cells (particularly those in the comodo spotlight). I can tell it's a routing issue; the merc works fine if I tell it to attack something first and it recalculates an attack order. I assume this is why the AttackTimeLimit setting exists. Is it possible for the AI to detect this and attempt to get closer to the target instead?

Obstacle Handling is extrememly hard to do correctly due to the limitations of the API provided by gravity. We have no way to test whether a cell is walkable, and no way to test whether a cell is shootable, and no way to tell when something fails other than GetV(V_TARGET,MyID) which looks like it's still attacking if it had previously attacked that monster before that monster moved into a position where it couldn't be reached.

I don't know if there's anything more I can do to improve this sort of performance. The game developers have not made this task easy.
