Well, foolish people are endless. And for ANYONE to ask your p/w is just stupid. Unless that person can be verified to be who they say the are with utmost certainty, do NOT trust them. I have watched videos of people giving away their passwords when asked in public. As for letting another player try something on, if you dare to do so, MAKE SURE THEY HAND OVER SOMETHING OF EQUIVALENT COLLATERAL. Because that's just how I operate.

Also, a random bit from me: have an alt? Join my newly made alt guild "E601". Message ShirakiinChiyo for entry. Also, no scammers or complete bungholes are allowed. Those are grounds for immediate expulsion. And seriously, I primarily made this guild with the intention of having my alts in a guild so I could avoid the usual random guild invites that come with being guildless.

When you are on your account page it has a section where it seems to want you to put in your real name and address, what is the purpose of that? It has always bugged me, is it required to file that section at all or can I leave it blank forever?

Account verification in case you get hacked. The GMs may or may not ask for your driver's license or some sort of ID to verify your identity before releasing it back to you. If you leave them blank, they'll ask for alternative information to verify you as the real owner.

Ok, so be best for me to leave it blank cause if my warpportal account gets hacked then they would see all my person info again, I don't want that again, as I said in my other post, better safe than sorry.

These guys seem to be the "DOTA2/CSGO/STEAM" scammers.

 

I think the main post should be updated also with "Towards Other Game" Type of Scam which can also have variations.

Since these are the usual pub names maybe even "STEAM/RO2/CS" Type Scam.

The fan-page vote thing is already covered under "The Positively Ridiculous Phishing Site" portion, though an example like that can be emphasized. As for advertising cross games trades (RO <-> STEAM GAMES, etc) or trades of other games whether it's a scam or not, please report it to the GM team.

Not sure if the same group of people that are scammers but there's "RO2 2" pub again in Eden1.

 

Just wanna say to the community here; be very, very cautious as RO2/CSGO have scams like these:

Be careful as these are the usual times of the previous scammers.

99 Priest, "PINOY? Benta q Zeny.." pub <-- this guy is likely in cahoots with those other Town scammers from almost a year ago. Again, this is the same timeframe of the scammer when they camp towns.

 

Used to be "PINOY... Kalakal zeny" pubs.

The staff are very well aware of the this scam scheme. Just make sure to include name of character, server and the chatroom title. If it's in Tagalog you can explain what it means but I have covered that portion already.

That person suddenly disappeared after seeing my avatar. Like a minute after.

 

These guys probably know I'm on to them.

 

I'll make another ticket next time and start from there. These guys keep coming back anyway.

Yes that's likely a scammer, he doesn't really know where you live. If you got contacted by that character again please send a support ticket ASAP. To investigate, the GM staff will need name of that character, chat log or screenshot showing the scam attempt and server.

Try to recover the password by following the forgot password portion found in this[link] support article.

 

For hacking or scamming incidents it is strongly suggested to send in a support ticket ASAP, the GM staff should be able to assist you with account issues. Be prompt as they may have questions.

I figured it out and changed the passwords for both log in accounts and warpportal access.

 

Is there a possibilty I can get my all my stuff back?
