I just downloaded Ragnarok Online for my laptop, which runs Windows 7 as the operating system. Whenever I open it, it brings up the patch menu, and when I press Start...It brings up the Setup menu. But whenever I press "Okay" on the setup menu, it opens another setup menu! And never actually starts the game. What can I do to fix this problem?

Please make sure to right click on the game .exe and run it as an administrator.

Hi
I got a similar problem as i have read here before, but is like when i press "Start" the patcher windows closes and nothing more happens.
And i have done following:
1. Attempt to resolve the APPCRASH issue in general. This link has some excellent ways to do this: http://www.slideshar...7-app-crash-fix
2. If you still have problems, even after pinpointing which service is crashing Ragexe.exe, you may need to disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention) for all Ragnarok Programs.
(Copy and Paste from a other post, thouse over)
3. Run as Admin.
4. Tryed find more info about this problem on my own(seems too not working, is a reason why i posting help here)

And i Run a Windows Vista/7 system, and i just runned the game after restarting the PC, so no program will make it crash.
Just ask questions about everything esle you want to know.
And i hope someone can help me out. :)

Okay, Jostein, I have a solution. Go into the folder containing the Installer for the game itself. From there, open it up, and go to the second option on the list. Not the third, which is to uninstall it, but the second, which is for fixing problems with the initial download itself. Make sure to keep the game client closed, though, when you do this. Otherwise, it won't fix the problem.

Okay, restart your laptop, Jostein, then go into the installer again. You want to uninstall the program, then reinstall. Instead of starting it up right off the bat after, go back into the installer, and select the "Repair" option. Wait for it to finish, then restart your laptop again, and this time, right click the game, and run as an administrator. Wait for the patches to finish installing, and then press start.

This should fix the problem. If not, take it up with technical support, and provide them the above information that you supplied for the error. They should be able to help you.

When I run Ragnarok.exe it will patch but after I click start the patch client goes away and nothing happens. When I run ClassicRO.exe it patches and after I click start it starts to load but then it crashes and I get this error code:

I installed outside of program files and set all .exe files to run as admin before patching but the same thing keeps happening. Both were working fine a few days ago as long as I ran them as admin. I was in Classic and logged out, a few minutes later I went to log in and this problem started. Please help, thanks.

Brochacho, go ahead and uninstall Ragnarok, then reinstall, and run the repair program after. Once you've done that, restart your laptop/computer, then try to load the game back up.

If this doesn't work, then try sending the information in to one of the Tech Support Staff, and see what they can do to help get you back in the game.

If you are having problems where nothing happens when clicking start at the patcher, or the client immediately errors, the problem is probably your Antivirus software - many of them get false positives from the RO client.

In the configuration for your Antivirus software (see the documentation for your AV software for specifics), set the RO executables (ragexe.exe and clragexe.exe in your RO folder) as exceptions (sometimes called "whitelisting", depending on your AV software).
It may be easier to turn off AV software to test if this is the problem - but don't run your computer without antivirus protection.

ive tried disabling the firewall and it doesnt help. Nothing happens when i press start on the normal ro. I can open classic but when i press start the error comes up. Sakray allows me to open up and login. Any help?

The problem I have been experiencing is quite different from what i ve read in this article. RO downloads and patches "correctly" then when i click start the patcher closes as usual. and then nothing happens. the client will never open. then i will recieve a "RO stoped working" message from windows. i have tried moving the files, i have tried re installing it, i have tried to run it as admin and so far nothing has worked. if anyone knows of a way to solves this issue i would be very grateful if they could help me with it.

that is an error I've never seen before. What version of windows? What anti virus?
I am going to move this into its own topic when i get back to a real computer (I'm in a bar waiting for my damned pizza atm) -this is by no means the sort of typical win vista/7 issue that this thread is full of.

I get to the Patch client, and let it load up, and then, click start. Now, Ragnarok setup won't close out or continue forward. It just keeps popping up over and over again....

Heya all
I need some help here. Whenever I open 2nd client (to trade item with another account), I always got blue screen when closing one of the client. Can anyone give me solution? It really sucks to have drop or mail the item whenever I want to trade


*Forgot to mention my laptop specs, I'm currently using old laptop:
AMD Athlon
Radeon X1200
Vista Home Premium

Hello i have also problem with RO2 i have windows 7 maybe this is the problem but i can klick start and my game runs only problem is when i log in chose server o canal and pick up my character it close at all and no errors nothing else only it switch itself off

Hi i have a problem with my new Windows 8 pc, i cant choose the screen size, and everytime I start the game the setup opens and doesnt give me any choise for the screen size</p>
