Dude, where have you been the last 10 years? This is already the case. I mean we can't even say the quest dialogue translation is remotely accurate. Also - isn't that a bit of a weird benchmark? There's more to gaming than your ability to complain about content. Such an odd thing to be caught up about. How reactive is WP to complaints? Not at all, actually this thread is a perfect example of how 21 pages of feedback goes completely ignored.

 

If you want a change in game management you would expect some kinda of improvement, what gives you confidence that changing it to gravity would incur in any significant improvement? They showed time and time again that they put little effort into afilliate servers aside from what is put on the cash shop otherwise they would just make a package of contents that could reach such servers in a timely manner instead of working on a request based approach, which causes the whole process to be extremely long, buggy and incomplete. WP lacks control over stuff and that i would agree, but i cant see how things would be different over gravity management(they would just care about what they wanna bring to servers basically), i cant be optmistic over that possibility, they would have to at least show some care to western audiences or have some kind of management revamp or something.

 

PS.: Im just stating what i believe based on my persepective on gravity, feel free to add your thoughts on what you believe could happen if they took managing the game.

I know that in normal circumstances having a few players in direct talks with management is not a good idea, but with how old iRO is and how tough the times are it may see benefit.

Veteran players who are still trying to foster new players like CaptainSunBear would have better balanced ideas and actually understand the mechanics and culture of the game. People like that given a private space to communicate with the people who make actual decisions would be better than listening to the incoherent ramblings of the forums for advice.

We may never get updates fast, but iRO still needs ways to generate profit to remain open. It shouldn't take rocket scientists to figure out what kind of cash shop offers will cause hype and excitement for people to spend on.

i would like to see a system implemented that would give shadow gears or other Kafra shop based equipment as in game rewards. Maybe a loot chest type item in an instance. For example: Physical shadow set contains 3 pieces. weapon and 2 accessories. 3 different dungeons will have 1 type available at random in a chest (like NTF or castle loots) to drop. That way you increase the chances of players exploring content or revitalizing content that has lessened over time.

Make all 3rd job change rewards sellable to NPC for 0 zeny. I do not like I have to upgrade and break the headgears to get ride of them. I cannot even do that with the GX job change reward. In fact, make all items sellable to NPC that is not something that can be done normally. How many old quest items do some people have? They have to ticket in to have those items removed. Save your GMs who service tickets some time to work on things that are more substantial. I know the NPC that can get rid of Blue Cards is there in eden. Can she be updated to get rid of some items as well?

How about older items to be tradable. I cannot remember why the Battleground and KVM items are not tradable. What about RWC items? These items do not break the game at all. it would be nice for people to trade between multiple accounts to use on various characters.

Old quest logs... yes I know I can right click and move them to the inactive list but what about event quests from years ago? I still have quest logs from years and years ago I would like removed so my quest listings are not so cluttered. I understand you recycle some of these events but come up with a script to remove them after the event is finished. Or stop the event but keep the reward NPCs for 1 week after and then do it. Also allow old bounty board quests to be removed. I cannot remove them even if I go to prontera and try. 

Have an in game way to hear the community. So many people I know do not even visit the forums. they get their information through social media platforms or other communication avenues like Discord channels.

It would be cool if there would be an In-game warpportal staffer going online atleast for 1-2hrs, daily? M-W-F? who could answer question, give freebies, or do town mvp summoning!

 

Last year, i was lucky enough to join a MVP summoning by a GameMod at Payon, Dunno if it still going on

More competitors are going to appear.
Vietnam will launch new RO server in this month.
EU and Russia servers have returned to renewal mechanism. They'll launch renewal servers soon.

According to what Camp said. The request list send to Gravity will be scheduled based on the priority of each branch.

New upcoming servers will have more priority than existing servers.
These will make the situation worse.

Next maintenance is Anniversary event.

This will show if iRO server so -- up or not.

All other server got at least great event for player. If iRO just do like 2020 anniversary then I can easily said iRO is dead.

Not everyone would enjoy an offensive, vandalism classes nor enjoy screaming from monsters every finger tabbed.

 

Its not a wrong direction , but i had completely no idea why the updates tend to change ABs to become holy murderer.

Which is not supposed to be.

 

The right accessories slot of healers has been fixed with Mora ring for almost a decade. (If i'm correct)

It has been longer than my existence on iRO. 

Healers cant wear any new gears on the right slot. Nor giving a card to.

 

Thought nothing left to heal anymore, it would be great to give us an improvement.

So we could have a small reason to logged in. And enjoy practicing with new gears. 

 

1 ) Please grant Cure stone enchantment for costumes.

I didnt ask for a whole set of Mora enchantments.

Just a Cure.

 

2 ) The last update for healers , was 3 years ago with Pilgrim shoes.

Please do not leave us behind for another decade

I think we need to get with the times as well. The age where we are dedicated party HP potions had long ended during transcendence era when white slims became the thing.

Im still a healing FS AB myself but let's be realistic here, its a brave new world and AB's need to change with the times as well, unless of course we get the jRO formula of Coluseo heal, that could be a possible saving grace for us, but that opens another can of worms completely.

Best we both just accept our current reality and be a hybrid.

I have been reading the forums as of late since I came back due to the booster "event" and what I haven't seen are positive reviews. The closest thing were players be thankful for an extra character slot. I have simply read a lot of negativity in the forums, and I am sensing that it is warranted. I am now at the crossroads of whether or not I want to be back in the game. I have played this game on and off between the age of 16 to 33, and I have grown to appreciate different things from the developers, programmers, and mods for this game and others. Communication with the player base. I feel that is where RO lacks most of all. I don't know what is coming up, I don't know what to expect, I don't even know if what is posted is still relevant. This is a section for improvements so here is some suggestions.

  1. Give us a few things to expect (with at least an estimated time line of delivery). We shouldn't have to guess what, and for that matter when, something is coming out based on looking at other servers.
  2. This game is not by any means new player friendly, and the booster event wasn't even an event. Create something that will help a new/returning player learn the game not just get exp.
  3. Update the interface. The quest guide in game (alt+U) is awful. Not everything has to be a content update, Quality of Life changes and improvements go a long way.
  4. Don't ask for advice if you aren't willing to make the changes or address why changes can't be made. Some players have brilliant ideas...some don't, our suggestions come from our experience playing the game and have merit. Even telling us why something can't be done acknowledge that we are being listened to.
  5. Play your game (on the server you work on). Some of the things I read feel like they could have been improved more so if it was designed from a players perspective. Take this noodle event for example: you need to deal the finishing blow on the spaghetti chick for the quest, but everything deals 1 damage and she has several hundred HP. I see some players just smacking away with ~176 aspd only to be hit by decrease agility and some on else comes in with Katars/raging trifect something something and take the finishing blow. That is not fun that is frustration.
  6. Remove Greed and weight limit. Weight limit is an outdated mechanic for MMO's that aren't survival/crafting based. With weight limit out of the way you can simply design the items to go directly into the inventory. Yes, this will affect the looter type monsters but that mechanic is at this point just annoying (personally).
  7. Design future events to include you. Getting involved with your players while playing the game. I (possibly others) want you to enjoy the game we play with us. This made a difference for me way back when, just having a face (or sprite) to the name helps in trusting the mods/GMs.
  8. Show reports on number of banned players or removed currency. This is something that I enjoy seeing from other games as it shows me that the game is being maintained beyond hardware and software. For banned players its typically a reason and a number, like "abnormal account creations: 43." When a bot is created, used, and finally removed the zeny it created could still be released into the economy, showing that it has been removed/undone reinforces the notion that you are doing something to prevent inflation. Granted the zeny thing could be resolved without showing us, but I like looking at the numbers.

Look, I like the game for nostalgic reasons but that only holds so much. This game is a mid 2000's game and still feels that way, updates and all.  I don't want to play this game because it's nostalgic anymore, I want to play it because it's fun. Help foster that fun.

I've been away for 4 years and during that time, besides doing some real life stuff, I've been playing this Terms of Service game (*winks*) since around the pandemic started and I can see how they learned from their past failures and even the failures of Ragnarok itself. In almost a year of playing, I basically was able to gear myself without P2W because the items are obtained through party raids, solo raids, and daily contents, and since due to that, I started to spend money a bit on some cash cosmetic items that they put out since I basically enjoyed the game and since the game feels rewarding, it comes naturally that players give back to the game and support it. That game kept on getting new players and been able to maintain decent amount of gaming population because that game is not dependent on P2W. Sure, newbies can spend money to cash shop items and sell them but the Cash Shop items are very limited to cosmetics (tradable), Raid entry tickets (sold very cheaply in the market and can even be obtained in-game as well by chance at an acceptable rate) and starter packs (not tradable, items are bound to account),  and the gear contents of these starter packs are also mainly obtainable in-game, which crafting items are sold by players in a universal market (which I can liken to our old friend Ragial but in-game). Probably the most expensive stuff in the game market right now doesn't even exceed 3 billion (at least in my server; items above 100m+ is very expensive already) despite having daily and weekly contents that can guarantee you 30m~ ish a week in a single account. No multiclient allowed (bannable offense), and bots are somehow close to non-existent due to recent update (and of course the monsters are basically very very strong to farm to begin with, even I, a geared class dies in field maps at times, good luck botting on that).

 

Why do I need to compare? It's because these two games are like brothers. They're somehow of the same mechanics but the sad thing about RO is that it becomes awfully P2W. Any game can be like that but in the years that I've been away seeing it now it has become sooooo terribly overpowering that these items cannot even be obtained in-game, and that real money has become part of the standard currency just as is the zeny. No contents are newbie friendly, even I cannot even solo OGH or NOGH with my very basic WW Set ranger. Market prices are very expensive but few players even buy or sell. I just try my luck visiting MvPs in hope to get a card that I can sell to gear myself. I basically do Central Lab, which, I cannot even finish all the MvP sometimes because they are very strong, there's no even player to play with.

I totally agree to this. I love the game so much that despite my enjoyment playing Terms of Service, I came back and feel the nostalgia again. But there's nothing to do, 70% of this game newbie will just resort to leveling up, and even that is very very costly because you basically need to have a decent leveling gears, and then you have to worry about your end-game gears to even compete with other playing on MvP-ing, or doing contents. This Booster Event doesn't help either. The Booster equipment cannot even be shared between characters like ???? what if that's all the equipment they have and they wanna build a new character? Have some heart, WP.

 

Some might just see this as another whinery but whatever. whinery it is. But I've been playing this game since 2005 before I was even in high school but when I started exploring other games lately and coming back, I've seen how sad this game has become. However, I do appreciate WP for moderating the addition of new contents and tries as much as not to disrupt the balance they believe they're maintaining but man, this is a bit much. Almost all A-tier equipment obtainable through Cash items and very few contents are even doable for new/returning players to obtain in-game currency to even afford one of these items.

Strange, the beauty of RO is actually how you party, socialize, and communicate with other players. I'm not sure since why many players want to solo and if they cant, they blame the game and quit.

One way or another, iRO should have never given out broken OCPs easily. Sooooooo many downfalls.

First, it has removed the party aspect of the game, the very reason why RO has been around for a very long time, the very first MMORPG.

Second, loots become saturated quickly. Everyone solo to try to maximize profits. Screw the party play and sharing loots. Greed is good. Then soon PvM isn't so rewarding anymore.

Third, since people are so OP, they no longer need to spend money. Leas money, slow updates. RO is a business, not a charity.

Fourth, those who don't wanna spend money or can't afford to will start to fall behind. Sure they can make tons of alts to farm like mad but if they happen to be lazy af too, then no change for them to catch up. Not to mention from 2nd point, PvM loots lose value quickly due to influx of supply.

Fifth, ok ... no other current or future MMORPG will last as long as RO. One main problem is iRO is a very very very old ass server. Quite many issues are related to server longevity itself.
