1) Not completely, but phase out the old guy maybe ;-)
2) Being discussed to find the best long term option
3) Opinion is to keep them out of CD, maybe some other modes that we might allow them but for now keeping them out

6) Yes some improvements will be made to them when they are migrated over.

Why don't you think about Taking points away for spawn kills?

Raging Hormones - each cleric uses the gear that works the best for them. I have used my def gear, I have used my mspd gear, I have used my hp gear and I have used my int gear. In a good war with fairly even sides Int gear is the way to go for me. If I am dying too much I switch to def gear. There are different ways to play and with my int gear I give much better buffs, therefore making my team stronger. In addition I can heal a lot more each time - I use 3 target heals and party heal, so with my party heal I can heal a lot of players with a high amount of heal. In my deg gear I find that I have to heal a lot faster then the cooldown will let me heal. So as you can see, each cleric will wear what works for them the best. I am definitely a team player and will support the group the best I can. I do not play just to get points. AT this point in time the points don't do much for me since I have the gear I want. I enjoy the battles, especially the good ones. But I am getting a bit sick of the rude players and that the clerics keep getting hit for point changes while the other classes stay on the top all of the time with 100 pts each war.

The buff glitch in Arena has to be fixed soon please. It is bad enough when the other members of the group have buffs that randomly disappear (and it's not just a graphic error, the attributes of the buffs go away) but when I can't even buff myself it is pretty silly. Also when do you think the skill glitch will be looked at? So many times during a battle skills don't work and buffs disappear. When the buffs disappear the person gets a huge lag spike and can't move either.

I didn't say I wouldn't give it a chance but seriously, the good clerics are working their asses off and all I see is "OMG you are not healing enough, no one buffed me, clerics suck, clerics get too many points for doing nothing,we lost the whole match because clerics didn't buff or heal etc."


You know the answer to that of course - don't join and let the ungrateful wretches rot. Better yet, just suggest your fellow clerics join you and see how that goes over. Yeah, thought so.

I'm almost positive when buffs disappear it is only client sided. The reason why your buffs don't 'work' is because you already have the buff which just isn't showing, yes it looks like your stats are lower and you move slower but you are actually moving at full speed, much like the cart passenger glitch when you switch maps. Try attacking people though, your damage output should be normal. And lastly, listen to when other people claim their buffs disappear, then look at their character, chances are they will still have buffs on your screen.


I know, it is still annoying.

Facebook 10k Likes Event

  • As we get closer to reaching 10k likes on Facebook, we have a few events that will be going on.
  • Thanks for everyone who shared ROSE with their friends to help us unlock the "Thumbs Up! T-Shirt".
  • Players can obtain the T-Shirt by completing an event style quest from [Designer] Lisa in Junon Polis.
  • Quest Level Restriction: 100
  • No preview of the item will be given, you will have to find out in-game!
  • Only one shirt can be obtained per character
Item Mall Update
  • Added Ancient Headdress to the Item Mall 300 Pts


Ballroom Event
  • Ballroom Event will continue again this weekend (Friday through Monday)
  • Players no longer have to kill the Duke in order to continue with the quest, 5 Lacrima will allow you to obtain the Emblem of the True Hero.
  • Players now need to be level 75 or higher to obtain the Felice Party Wear.
  • Increased the number of Gate Crashers that spawn, and expanded their spawn range to prevent those nasty AOE spinners.
  • Players can now escalate the event by purchasing items, no longer do you have to only exchange Lacrima to escalate, but the purchase of Dance Scrolls or Outfits will also increase the rate for which Duke and the Gate Crashers spawn.
  • Felice will now give a holler when the Grand Duke spawns so players will no it's time to end his tyranny. We have also added a fail-safe for her to unlock the ballroom after a set amount of time in case the event "freezes" again.
Game Arena
  • Groups are no longer merged together visually until both teams are complete, this will prevent players from jumping out of a group to try and get in the other group if they are not happy with their team makeup.
  • Optimized the forming of groups to help balance the 2 groups for a match.
  • Increased the threshold for earning points by healing, this will increase the challenge for Clerics to earn points.
  • Increased the DEF and MDEF of the Sunset and Dusk Crystals.
Bug Fixes
  • When a match completes the game arena groups were not always disbanding, this has been improved upon.
  • Fixed a bug where when a player disconnects their spot on the team was not being held, players should be able to reconnect to the same match/team upon logging back in for most cases.
  • Removed some deprecated Union War code from [Akram Minister] Aldaric's dialog and Valor Ticket quests.
  • Equipment found in NPC Sell Shops had PvM Bonuses on them, this was removed as there is no intention for NPC Sold Equipment to carry any bonuses.
  • Corrected the Disassemble of the following items
  • Ice Spirit Backpack
  • Curious Backpack
  • Insane Shaman Backpack
  • Mammy Queen Backpack
*Development Notes*

Here are some of the things being worked on over the next month.
  • Friends List
    • This sadly has been delayed, we have new staff and training them has slowed us down the last few weeks.
    • We have also had to spend some time fixing some issues with the Game Arena that first week which delayed work on the Friends List as well.
    • ETA is 15th
  • Game Arena
    • We are doing some smaller tweaks and updates while working on migrating the Cave of Ulverick over during this month.
    • We will also be working to update and migrate the Oblivion Rooms over to the Game Arena as well (ETA isn't set)
  • Stat/Skill Balance & Update
    • The goal is to be testing the last half of the month and update when its ready.
  • New Project
    • We have a new project we are working on, something new for ROSE.
    • With our hiring complete we are working towards an update Mid-Late June to expand the ROSE story!
    • I will try and get some sneak peaks out during the month if I can get my hands on them.


Long time I never see such a good patch notes but keep my finger crossed until I make sure no new bug added in this patch. Well done.

How come I can never get above 60 points as being a cleric? Is my heal suck? =D I never get killed and never kill anyone but healing. Being defensive needs some kind of reward, I get the most healing inflicted in the team and lowest damage received in the team but I'm not rewarded the highest =( Only those people who kill enemy gets the most points XD

Hello. I'm happy to report that despite many of my friends having earned 100 points frequently during GA matches, I still find great satisfaction in recieving a dramatically less amount of points. Try between 2 and 8 most of the time with the ocassional 12 or 14.

I think that is because my friends know the kind of contribution I put in while playing in a match. It means a great deal to know that I am appreciated and told so in conversation - and not in numbers. Although the game might not reward me with the kinds of points and stats that I feel reflects my effort, I find it easy to overlook this. It doesn't matter to me that I be rewarded with (not-so) rich stipends. All that matters is that I acknowledge myself the fact that I am happy doing what I do regardless of what an arbitrary online leaderboard tells me I'm doing.

Moving on, I did try playing as a cleric for a few days awhile back. It was extremely satisfying to know that I could be of direct use. But on the other hand, I do think that the cleric class is oversaturated with many players - so much that I feel that some other classes might be under represented. And so that is why it is easy for me to accept a lesser role in another class.

so u actually made it harder for clerics to earn points but u didnt see the flaw that artis shoot through the houses?????? we buff the whole team which btw doesnt give us points and yet u increased the bar for our total heals. so if we are sooo unlucky that we get to have a great team then we dont get anypoints since they dont need to be healed that much? what is the sense of all this? 500k heals is already high enough as it is.
Why dont didnt you try to fix the spawn killing or the shooting through houses that would have been a great fix instead of doing something totally unnecessary.

erm...i dont think so on this case i myself experienced a lot getting debuffed most of the time specially the HP/MP buff....and also i do experienced a MUTE which last 3-5mins which is really annoying and you need to relog just to remove the bug...hope they can fix it soon...

Fade spoken like a true team player but still I like to see the knight class be rewarded more for their contribution. I propose they get a bonus 2x to their points. (points x 2).

As with UW it's about minimizing your death count and being there for your teammates and hopefully this update will make people think more about their gear and stats to help them maximize their points.


Do we really have to go through this again? Does this train of thought run through the community like gushing fields of nectar pouring forth as a thousand, thousand waterfalls from heavenly Ambrosia?

And so in your infinite wisdom, you suggest that the newbies should make you richer, because they really shouldn't be able to earn their own points through hard work (made even harder on account of using INT gear) and gear they can come across on their own from training in PvM. They really should just keep farming for chemicals and catalysts, selling those, and seeking out your shops selling Honor gear for their Clerics, because bonafide members of the community like you decided they have no place in the Game Arena at all.

"Minimizing your death count"? "Being there for your teammates"? And I suppose Clerics haven't earned an honorary spot in your Team as a "teammate"? Last I heard, the only time people crowd near a cleric is for a heal or a buff. Because people like you couldn't spend one millisecond to guard -- and I mean really fortify -- a position held by a cleric against a Stun Shot-spamming Battle Artisan, a Noiseless Vaccuum-spamming Knight, or a cloaked, avid Mystic Knifer.

Yes, they really shouldn't be afforded the option of being rewarded for their efforts, because:
  • they happened to join a Crystal Defenders match with the only gear they have on them;
  • saw you get ganged up on;
  • ran toward your compromised position, away from the protection and watchful eyes of decent, accommodating teammates;
  • they decided you deserve the best heal they have in their spell arsenal and cast it on your Cleric-discriminating character;
  • they had the decency to afford the second heal on that character whilst being under attack him/herself;
  • they put in a Purify for good measure, because he/she knows the last two strikes on him/herself can't be offset by their best heal because it's still on cooldown;
  • they died and upon their respawn, took 10 more seconds off their time helping ganged up people like yourself buffing people who couldn't afford the keyboards with the letters P, L, E, A, and S but happen to have a single key that blurts out "BUFF";
  • they took another 10 seconds in the respawn area, because you died, and now you're spamming that key of that four letter word that Clerics have so much adoration for;
  • people getting ganged up on outside of the spawn area start asking questions like, "What happened to our clerics?" or "Where are our heals?" or spamming the single key that blurts out "HEAL";
But all in all, it's because newbie Clerics should really be the bad guy here. The community's fervor for Mr.-I'm-New-To-GA-Got-Heals is commensurate with the community's welcoming embrace of any upstart member of a Nationalist Socialist persuasion.

Of course, it wouldn't really matter to members like you that the strongest advocates against spawnkilling are Clerics. Because they're eevuhl.
