i played monk enuff time to see what the class is lacking,

 

Crowd Control, aka he needs a reliable low CD stun like warriors and Knights. how about lightning walk stunning during 1 second?

well, if the skill retains its stun, you have a cheap 300% combo O__o!

Fury -> Asura -> Spirits -> Tackle -> Asura -> something o__O!

 

Pretty much the same as always... but faster.

 

Then again, as Sora mentioned somewhere in the forums, the chars in the video are stat enhanced, so they would strike harder than normal... isn't this worrysome? The Asura Strike shown in the video did only 4.7k damange :/

its a 150% strike (considering Fury, Thrown Spirit and Steel Body as the only active modifiers), which means it should be on theorical equal grounds with Moonlight Drive from Rogues, altho those are some crazy doping bastards, 4.7k for an "OP" Asura Strike is barely as much damange as Moonlight Drive finisher strike... I know Rogues gets atk boosts like no other... but doubling?

 

You guys that are more knowledgeable than me about Monks... about how much damange can you do with T1 Colo gear on PvE?

Full agi monk here with 2.7k base attack. 33%~ crit unbuffed

 

with t1 gear my GFist does around 4.7-5.1k dmg, and crits anywhere from 8-10k. I would say a base atk of that monk in the video has about that much base atk.

 

fully buffed around 3.1k base atk would crit for 10k-14k.

WHAT?! nope I have not. The Stun on the Gfist is perfect IMO, just needs a faster animation. Canceling other people's skills in PVP way too fun!

I think all Tank classes should have CC mitigation and removal. It's ridiculous that we are forced to eat the full duration of crowd control with no way of retaliating.

G-Fist is actually 120% of your ATK that is boosted by 30% from fury. Either way my base ATK is 2833 unbuffed using Greenseed Chaos Knuckle. My G-Fist base damage is 4.4K my crits hit for about 9k-11k and in raids up to about 14k-15k

What do you mean by fix?

 

Changes to it would be cool. Since bosses are immune to CC, a DEF shred debuff for a few seconds would be pretty awesome effect for GF.

Full AoD tank set, got lazy on upgrade have x3 +5, x2 +7, +6, +8

Well, stunning people skills during animation is pointless in this game :/

 

Sad, but true... if you Stun a Rogue in the middle of casting Moonlight Drive (or even kill him) all you do is make the 9 Strikes land instantly :/

 

Same for Priest's Ray of Genesis, if you knock them down, stun them, or kill them while in animation, the skill hits instantly, hurting even more...

 

Fun facts is that traveling skills CAN be canceled even during animation, like Sorc's Varetyr's Spear... but thats a very special, isolated example.

 

It should be so if you disable the oponent half way through a skill, the non-dealt damange should cancel and end the skill... well, this only applies on casting skills during their casting time... and there is also the Silent Cool Down Bug...

 

 

 

Yea, its 120% by the skill itself +30% ATK from Fury Explosion... I have the bad habit of adding them up :/

soooo from 4.7k to 14k... that must be a very beautiful number to see on the screen (and even more if you see it twice in a row)

So looking at the new updates for monks...

here is my current monk build

from what I gather there will be 20 skill points to use?

 

So from that 20 points this will be my build:

Raging Blow 10/10

Throw Spirit Sphere 1/10

Lighting Crush 1/6

Crushing Blow 8/10

Gfist 10/10

Lighting walk 5/5

I noticed that to , cuz i used to have 2k AP now its down to 502 . so i guess Spiritual Cadence is bug , which it supposed to give 2 Attack Power per 1 INT.

Eh....whoa?

 

Ragin blow at 350%? Gfist 1680%?

 

went from 360x2 ragin blow to 460x2, with lvl 8 sphere its 544x2

 

lvl 5 GFist with steel body hit 3k~ hits on morroc mobs, lvl 10 gfist w/o did 5k~

A Thief's Double Attack or a swordie's Bash is 250%

Monk's main skill is now 350%

 

They dont have that many finishers, but they will clearly become DPS competent.

The con that i only agree with is the "Lack of AGI." My monk hits hard but its Accuracy is really unreliable.  I miss alot even with the creature called FABRE!  And I rather have summon spirit sphere to be the one to receive reduce cooldown rather than G-Fist.  Makes more sense to me.

Nope! Raging blow is 220% something i think its not around 300%
