I understand that you guys are doing this for our own safety and getting rewards[crap but reward nonetheless], however most people in this game are lazy and will need a furthur push, a skill and stat reset will be great instead of those reward!

Agreed, a lot of us can't afford neuralizer and magical stones and can't farm for them because our stats/skills are effed up.
CMMayari, please be our santa and give us this as our Christmas present.

A bit of off topic that CMMayari probably doesnt know anything about Xmas lab 2018 but yes ... from 3.7k (at peak) by 2018 to less than 1k by 2020. Justice was right again. Wonder if those PvMers still play iRO after the best event everrrr lol
But for this time though. I dont see why the fault is at WP. Players should not even be allowed to use other players' accounts in the first place. Also, using alts is the main reason many in game items are so saturated quickly and its very bad for a server like iRO which is 18 years olds now?
Tell that to those who caused this mess those damn cheaters from chaos... for no SPAM OB and whatnot + the edited GRF they have xD resorting to cheating...
while here we have as well... useless EAC ... that does nothing ...

Its not our fault either that their databases encountered error or was somehow breached .... then why inconvenience us? to share the burden of they ignorance and incompetence?

How can you tell that to those players who already quit like 5yrs ago... or even those still currently playing who have not even bothered to check the email anymore...
The issue is ppls already forgot their warp portal account emails and passwords so there’s no other way to change game account passwords other than filing a ticket which takes forever.
Plus the fact that WP is asking for too much document just to validate your account... imagine you have a lot of account to validate...
and Support does not even properly read your ticket... as sometimes you already attached a photo and then they will reply and still ask for a photo @_@ even though you already included it on your first ticket...

It still count as a password change if I change from A to B and then change back to A right. Cause someone ppl don't really want to remember new password.
Depends on how the system is set up...
In the network I run at work, I have it set to remember the last 20-some passwords for each user. The people here can re-use the passwords if they want, but they have to change the password 20+ times to get back to the one they want to do that.
(Coincidentally, that's why we had to enable the setting in the environment that said once you change the password, you can't change it again for 30 days without an admin turning on the option in the account, because we really didn't want people doing that for security reasons)
But in any, there is a usually a field in the database that stores usernames and passwords that records the last password change date, a field which gets overwritten each time the password is changed. If this campaign is just looking at that the value in that date field, then technically you could change the password enough times to set it back to the original value, and the 'Last Password Change' date value will still be updated as required.

I have an account that belongs to me but I've forgotten the email address I used to register it with. If I know which email address is it, I can do the password reset myself.
Any recommendation on how can I address this issue? WIll WP be able to give me the email address or do I have to go in a lot of those document verifying that its me?
I´m having the same problem with my son´s account he forgot the email so how can we solve this before to get locked down?
do we send a ticket to get back the e-mail account? o what solution do the team will give to us?

Good thing I started again over a month ago. I lost my old yahoo email thanks to Yahoo customer support, they're the worst, so now I'm using my gmail and I'm happy with that decision.

After the hacking spree I was expecting something like this from WP and honestly these events should happen every year or two anyway to protect us from our own laziness. I do try to change my passwords every year or so to keep my accounts safe, so this is a good reminder to make an update with some ingame goodies on top.
Just went through and got all my game accounts updated and did the passwords for my WP accounts while I was at it. It's worth noting the interface for updating the password certainly could be better. I didn't receive any confirmation notice saying it saved the password ,it only reloaded the page and when it loaded there was no message which was odd. Ended up trying to change the password twice on each account to make sure it worked, which was a pain!
Also after reading this thread people should look into some note software, personally I use Google Keep to give me a reminder of what my password would be, but as with all notes, for the love of god, don't just write it down anywhere! Your note should just be a good hint!
Anyway I hope this event makes the community safer for us remaining players.

Wait is this event for changing in-game passwords, or the powerup page password?
There's no "Forgot Password"
The rewards are for changing in game passwords. You can do so by logging into your WP account and going into your game account from there to change the password.
